Quoting: Seer777 Also, I did muse on such, which is why I often mentioned 'proper intention'. I think it would quite interesting to experiment and see if this can be done. In no way was I suggesting engaging in sexual conduct within said 'dream share'... It was only a musing JB. As I mentioned, I am open to any new information regarding the energy dance, as I have been waiting on such for some time... Dreaming attention is derived from sexual energy. So all engagement by two dreamers in the astral realm would be 'engaging in sexual conduct'. What is your source on this? I would like to read it if you can offer it. It is considered to be fact according to all of the characters throughout the series of books. Don Matus often said that to completely abstain from physical sex was the proper way to conserve the energy necessary for dreaming attention. The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects. The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard. The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass. |

Yes as in several disciplines...to conserve ones sexual energy can be utilized in many ways. However, does that make the entire dream experience one of purely sexual energy? I would think no. But that is just what I have been able to glean by what you offered so far. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

Just because one has an abundance of sexual energy doesn't necessarily mean one has the capacity to exercise the controlled awareness required to transform it into dreaming attention. This is where unbending intent and the focus of a disciplined mind come into play. “The art of dreaming is the capacity to utilize one’s ordinary dreams and transform them into controlled awareness by virtue of a specialized form of attention called dreaming attention.” The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." Practice makes perfect, as with anything. I assume it is similar to what one can do in meditation. Focused intent. I practiced every technique I could find to induce lucid dreaming for years. I just don't really have the gift...or it was not in my path to be proficient in such. I do it on occasion, but very rarely. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

I just don't really have the gift...or it was not in my path to be proficient in such. I do it on occasion, but very rarely. Same here. I tried obsessively at one point to develop my dreaming attention. Then I realized that it was far easier for me to fall into a dream through meditation than it was for me to 'realize that I was dreaming' by building lucidity in the way that natural dreamers do. I've accepted that, and carried on with the art of stalking. Part of becoming self-aware is to realize where your talents lie and take full advantage of them. Both dreaming and stalking lead to the same place. One is just the reverse engineering of the other. The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." Quoting: Seer777 The states I can induce in meditation are far better than my dreams anyway. To be honest, I haven't spent much time in suspended states of meditation in quite some time...well that's not exactly true. Over the past 4 weeks or so I have on several occasions stopped my internal dialogue for an hour and a half or so at a time...with an emotional outburst briefly breaking my focus for just a moment or two during the interval. But I was aimed at something specific. My attention was divided between internal concentration/sensations and external focus. This is something I've only been able to do since my encounter with the old man. The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."
