Stop being so scared, you will be fine. We've all been through a million 'tornado warnings', they rarely happen as predicted, even when the sirens are going off. (In Tulsa most of all - they are very siren-happy there). Last two times the sirens were going off, I was outside trying to get pics. You'll be fine ttowngirl! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 8844335 United States 04/13/2012 04:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have been watching this system brew for a couple of days now and it’s not pretty! Quoting: CowgirlK This storm is a loaded gun full of super cells, tornado's, and hail with the potential to destroy lots of property and lives. If you ANYWHERE in the Central USA….you need to be taking precautions NOW!!! It looks like Missouri is in the bulls eye tonight Saturday - Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas Sunday - Iowa and Minnesota This is a big bad dangerous storm. They are saying baseball size hail and 70 mph winds even if you don’t get hit with a twister. Please warn your family and friends so that they have time to make preparations. You may lose power, water, communications, and hopefully not your life. >>>SPC has has issued their highest level of alert, a "High Risk," for portions of Oklahoma and Kansas for Saturday. Included in the "High Risk" area are the cities of Wichita and Oklahoma City. This is the second time SPC has issued a "High Risk" forecast this year; the first "High Risk" forecast came for the March 2 tornado outbreak, which killed 41 people and did $1.5 - $2 billion in damage. It is very unusual for SPC to issue a "High Risk" forecast more than a day in advance of a suspected tornado outbreak; according to Wikipedia, today's "High Risk" forecast is only the second time SPC has ever done this. The other instance was for the April 6 - 8, 2006 tornado outbreak focused over Tennessee, which generated 73 tornadoes that killed 13 and did $1.5 billion in damage. People living in the threatened area need to pay close attention on Saturday to this dangerous severe weather situation.<<< [link to classic.wunderground.com] I have been reading on the Met boards that this storm may be one of the worst tornado outbreaks in US history. I pray they are wrong! Pay attention to your local weather service this weekend, be safe everyone and get the word out NOW!!! I'm watching CNN right now... It's about to go downnnn in Oklahoma |

We had our twisters last week. I think we will be ok this weekend. I wouldn't want to be north if the Red River though. I agree..Remember, mother nature does not read weather reports or maps. We all need to keep our eyes open. As a previous poster stated, Keep any eye on the animals. They know whats coming. Some of my observations over the years are.. When the birds start flying real low, something is brewing in the atmosphere. When they disappear its time to take cover. Watch your dogs, cats and livestock. They can sense the weather better than most people. Also weather sensitive people start complaining about headaches, ears ringing and body aches as well as an unsettled feeling in their guts. I've had all of those symptoms since Obama took office. I won't be able to tell if bad weather is coming or not. |

Now as we know a rupture in the tidal regions could cause unbelievable damage. The planet has been dubbed 'sybian' has anyone else in the know caught wind of this?!
