We made the mistake of coddling our kids.

In 1965, 1 adult making minimum wage could provide for a family of 4. Try doing that today. The inflation-adjusted cost of living is up 400-500%. Taxes were low and fees/surcharges were nonexistent. Now Boomers have stooped so low , they want to tax the air we breath (carbon tax).

Fact, every generation did better in the USA from 1820 to 1970. It was the world war 2 generation that sold us out. From free trade, the war on drugs, deficit spending and don't forget Reagan saying "the homeless are that way because they want to be". I knew I would never be able to own a home after that made people heartless. I feel for your generation, you do not deserve the hand you have been dealt. After 1975 home ownership and having a part in the American dream went away for us also if it makes you feel any better.

Interesting that only one person has mentioned that the biggest sellouts were the generation referred to as The Greatest Generation. When the going got tough, they turned our country to socialism! The Boomers are only doing what they learned from their bailed out parents.

If there were going to be people in a civilized society in the future who give a shit, the baby boomers would be looked up on as the most blessed generation as a whole in the history of the world. They were born and grew up in the wake of world war, knew nothing but growth and prosperity for the majority of their lives, and defined what human kind could become with unlimmited resourses and zero accountability. They were the first true generation of ME. They still cannot be held accountable as they were taught for their entire lives that their needs and desires were all that mattered by their leadership. AS bad as they were, they actually did have somewhat of a work ethic and a sense of fairness. Unfortunately, the versions of these they passed on to their children were so far gone from reality that the latest generation is so fucked that even if we werent facing declines in every natural resource we would still be facing a major crisis. Religion never had a chance to do anything about it, not that they would even if they could, their leadership thrives on negativity and pointing fingers at problems which they claim only they can fix.

They will need to learn to fill out a job application first. Most under 30 can not accomplish this simple task. I once observed an application where the idiot spelled his name differently on two different pages, kid you not!

These, your children, are scared and unprepared to fix the mess that you made by not challenging the government and forcing this country back on The Gold Standard. By failing to end the fiat currency experiment prior to amassing 17 Trillion Dollars in National Debt, these young people are going to experience most likely WWIII and the fall of economy of The United States of America-most likely as simultaneous events. I'm not sure how you think these young people should respond to this knowledge, but I'm sure they aren't very happy at getting to deal with living under the rule of The Man of Perdition. If you would stop and think about this, you might actually feel sorry for them and for yourselves.

from my own memory most of the boomer parents, on a regular basis, put their own wants/desires/etc above their own children
and passed the buck on their responsibilities to whoever would take them- their own parents, daycares, schools, nursing homes for their parents, big government for the poor, the police state for crime, big pharma, big ag, monsanto, tepco, etc. all products of a generation of abdicated responsibility

The baby boomers are the most self indulgent and spoilt generation in history. Generation X/Y/wtf-ever are even more so. They were raised by narcissistic boomers, who in turn were raised by a confused and worldwar assaulted generation who got rushed through history by things beyond their control. They in turn were raised by.. and so on..

Very few people know how to raise a child to its maximum potential whilst balancing societal or world changing events, and to do all that as they live their own life which itself was coaxed into existence by an equally broken preceeding generation.

The cock-smoking elite haven't exactly done their best to foster a well rounded and grounded individual with all his emotional and sexual functioning satisfied. So many kids are beaten and damaged for life by broken parents who couldn't cope with their own damage. The lucky ones who are treated well still don't turn out fantastic, shit happens in life as they say, some winners and a whole lot of losers! Society is set up for that anyway.. it functions on competition. Generation Y/Z has a greater awareness of the futility of modern working life in a broken society/world that seems to be on the brink of great change, can you really expect rational and grounded behaviour when you're raised into the world right now by previous generations of broken children!
