Yeah we all know that all the crap thats happening now was put into play by infants way back then. The adults of that era isnt responsible for anything.Always been that way, always will be till they all croak. This generation can never begin to ever have the life of entitlement the golden oldies had.

This country is being de-industialized and being made poorer by design to implode it! Nobody u know personally will ever have but a pitense to live on! Only the 20 somethings of the TPTB will have any kind od wealth their parents have. So quite ur whinning and seek ur treasures elsewhere!

Oh I havent had the luxury of whining for years and I have secured as much as I can for myself and my family. My parents had quite a lot but if you happen to have a greed driven sibling then you dont get included in the pot to live the good life.I am of the opinion that if someone will go that far to steal that its best to let them rot in their own greed while living it up.So I live modestly and have my family, she cruises around the world on her 'pitense' and worships her money and no family.lol.So I guess it depends on which way of life you see as the good life. For me I made the right choice because nothing could ever take the place of my family.
I suppose what upsets me most is that the boomer generation knows we are broke and even though they have already gotten way more benefits than any other can ever hope for they still wont give an inch as far as giving up anything and actually will get mad that people dont want to work and pay their benefits knowing full well the working people will never get what they are entitled. It will run out for ALL of us at some point and that will include them also.

You are confusing the boomers with the WW2 generation.

I am a 61 year old boomer, and have no idea what benefits you are talking about. All I have ever had is what I earned. And most of that has been stolen, or devalued.

I was broke at 20, at 30, at 40, at 50, and at 60 disabled with NO BENEFITS and a 64 year old husband who was unemployed and his paid for benefits had run out.
Neither one of us ever had the life you imagine we did.
But, our parents did.

Our generation respects what "the greatest generation" did.
It is the act of your children who was disapprove of. The "me first" generation who took all of your hard work and sacrifice and got high through out the 60's and 70's and fell ass backwards into a golden age of an flourishing American economy made possible by your generation and have the gull to tell the younger generation it our fault. No other generation has had it as easy as them and they did nothing to perpetuate this nations success. Welfare is nothing but an electronic soup line. They sold off our future jobs overseas and allowed massive migration of immigrants into this country, thus reducing our jobs in the nation. Surly this has to do with video games. These are the same people who rip apart welfare recipients, yet have no issues bailing out corporations. They generation killed capitalism. A company that can not support it self financially and who received government bail outs is the farthest thing removed from a capitalistic democracy.

This is also the first time in world history a older generation has blamed their issues on a generation 20 years younger then them. Must be because we don't vote huh? Then you should have no difficulties pushing your agenda threw in elections.

An inheritence is a gift, and in a family that plans generationally it is the supplement that gets our elderly through retirements without dependency.

Obviously, you don't come from a family that plans.

The only real debt is personal. You have no debt because of me. I have no debt because of me.

I don't support a bloated government. I support limited government that functions within it's budget.

You are poorly informed about history, plain and simple.
Minimum wage was $1.70 when I started work. My military husband made $220 a month. They gave him a $50 raise when they forced him to go to Nam, a war zone. Not of our choosing. Our generation fought to stop the war, while 80,000 of us died in Nam. We also stopped the draft, yet I don't hear any of you thanking any of us. Some of us died in the streets fighting for you.

You and your little friends have conjured up a false history. You come from schools where you didn't have to excel to pass. No one wanted to hurt your delicate self esteem. Everyone got satisfactory and everyone got trophies and no one told you that most of you sucked, and needed to work for what you want and get over your poor little you bs.

My parents got the entitlements, not us. My parents got adult life handed to them on a silver platter because of WW2. It didn't last as long as Nam, but we met disdain while they met rewards and perks, lifelong rewards and perks.

Did you go to air conditioned schools? Really? We didn't. We sweated in the heat, and bundled up because of no central heat. We also earned our grades and trophies.
Our parents actually spanked us when we fucked up. It wasn't called child abuse then. And it worked.

Spoiled rotten is what you are. You are the one who thinks you are entitled, yet haven't earned it. And you aren't educated enough to know you are blaming the wrong people.
Blame the greedy and corrupt of all ages who have taken over this planet. But don't blame the boomers. At least we fought them in the streets for years until we forced change.

What have you done?

Re: To The Generation NOTHINGS That Hate Baby Boomers
The "Greatest" Generation was the first generation that as ADULTS felt entitled to luxury. They didn't grow up believing it, but they all bought into the myth hook, line, and sinker post WW2.

The Baby Boom Generation from the cradle onwards grew up believing they were entitled to these things.

Now, we have to pay the price. Our parents greed, and our grandparents who spawned and spoiled them.

1946 - 1964 is the baby boomer era.
Baby boomers are in their 40s - 60s and they are in charge (generally speaking) of all levels of government and the private sector right now.

OP, you are as dumb as your generation.

Being born in this country wasn't a genetic lotto. We were one of the founding families.

Your family's finances does not negate the fact that my gen x sister committed crimes against others in the family. Forgery, fraud, embezzlement, abuse.

No one blamed your generation for wars.

Yes, the baby boomers did force the end of the draft. Your lack of information is stunning. It was mostly the poor and those who couldn't afford college who were drafted. One more of your premises is destroyed.

Many boomers who protested, and there were millions, were injured. Many killed. 4 of those at Kent state, not 8.

You consider my ideas about child rearing to be foolish? Really? I didn't coddle or spoil my son. I believe that kids should earn their grades and their perks. Bad behavior needs to be stopped at the onset, discipline.
And when his school asked my permission to paddle him with cause, I gave it to them.
So, there you go. Wrong again.

LOL, of course ghettos existed. They have always existed.

After WW2, those who took part deserved our respect, a chance to work, and to use their VA college benefits. But, it should not ever have been a lifelong pass and called the greatest generation.
After Nam, those people deserved respect, but received ridicule and contempt. They deserved jobs, but found inflation and unemployment, as well as employers who didn't want Nam vets. They were an embarrassed greatest generation for allowing Nam to go on, and for sending their kids to an unprovoked and illegal war.
I'm sure you didn't want to know that.

As for you thinking that I am a spoiled housewife who retired in 82, you really are nuts. I started working on our farm when I was about 4. I stopped working, a day job and a band, in my late 50's when chronic pain became too much. So, I started doing research only. Yes, while working a job, and playing in a band, I was also doing scientific research.
So, there you go. Wrong again.

BTW, it is possible to live on $16 an hour. My husband is now working, and he is very happy about $16 an hour. It's the best we've had it in 25 years.
So, you are wrong again.

And, you have the internet because people like me made sure the first programs worked.

As for hate, it isn't a word I use. There is no one whom I hate. But, you do. You don't know how the world works. You blame a generation for what governments and crooks have done to us all.
As for me, I have done all that I could to maintain a household and our health. I don't run around blaming others. It's useless. My time is spent being productive.

As for what I have done? Plenty. You have no idea who you are whining to.

And until you stop blaming another generation for your problems, and get off your ass and fix your own life, yourself, you will be stuck. Get your own damn pole and fish. No one owes you anything. Grow up.

My dear Angry Boomer

These, your children, are scared and unprepared to fix the mess that you made by not challenging the government and forcing this country back on The Gold Standard. By failing to end the fiat currency experiment prior to amassing 17 Trillion Dollars in National Debt, these young people are going to experience most likely WWIII and the fall of economy of The United States of America-most likely as simultaneous events. I'm not sure how you think these young people should respond to this knowledge, but I'm sure they aren't very happy at getting to deal with living under the rule of The Man of Perdition. If you would stop and think about this, you might actually feel sorry for them and for yourselves.

Well said. Im 35, and am disgusted with the generations below me.

Most of them cannot even frame a logical sentence structure together, and I think most of their minds are fried from all the LSD that they rave about day in day out.

Its really sad observing this.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17023389

They will need to learn to fill out a job application first. Most under 30 can not accomplish this simple task. I once observed an application where the idiot spelled his name differently on two different pages, kid you not!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9079482

Make said job application digital and we would school you. Give a kid who plays video games all day a gun and he would school you after a few minutes of learning what it feels like. These kids practice warfare strategy day in and day out, for fun. Pretty much beat in every aspect of life when it comes down to it. All you got is your collected wit. We got our bromide brains and corn syrup livers while you were fed iodine bread.

All we need is the correct knowledge to put our newer fresher (if not fucked from food additive) brains to use, and we would sort this shit out. We didn't start the fire yea, but we certainly we're all built upon it and the pyramids are built on stones and last time I heard your boys the dead where shaking the foundation. Anyways what's productive about your post?

Oh yea and pretend like "it" never happened

Re: To The Generation NOTHINGS That Hate Baby Boomers
Dear Boomers,

I can understand why you'd like to see us as whiny slackers. There's too many in my generation that look up at the scoreboard and see a starting score of 4,000,000 to negative 150,000 as the starting line get stuck on the it's not fair. We're not very appreciative of the new norms set for religion, politics, pollution, education and divorce, but again, just build it into the score so we can start the game.

That is, we'd like to start. Which I believe is the very root of our differences. Boomers and Gen X have very different values for Form and Function. You have to let go of the comfort level if you want to even give us half a chance to fix all of this shit for you. What's the end goal, what are the resources you're going to allow, where does it need to hook up with the rest of the organization....once we have that...get the fuck out of the way. I'm sorry you don't understand computer applications, but we don't have time for your wounded pride or commercial mysticism leadership cloak or whatever the fuck you're using as a modern day pacifier. I see your score and you're scared. Now look at mine. Fuck you, I don't have time to turn that report into a book. It's a spreadsheet. If you have the soft copy, I don't have to tell you 18 times where something links to. I swear, the most successful invention I've ever had was turning reports into stoplights (good, ok, bad). That's all you need. You never knew it all, and frankly, the world's demands have increased on a scale you don't want to comprehend. So just be a leader, tell us where we are going, and then go sit in the corner while we build a chariot for you to keep up in.

Ok, that's it. It's not that we're smarter, probably the opposite. But, we're not obsolete, yet. A diploma was great for you, but we'll need a couple rounds of career changing education to maintain anything close to a career. Each promotion I've had always goes something like....we've cut these three positions and they are now yours, but you'll make less than any one of them. Fine, fuck you, but let's do this....but then, with all of this hassle, you want to chain me up as you dote off on some bullshit...making up straw-men and straw-situations that don't apply nearly as much as you wish they did and giving me your expert advice. Just shut up and get out of the way.

In closing, don't worry about the deficit or the ridiculous monetary entitlements. We've got that covered. It's called inflation and it's the mad, fuck you that's nothing more than what's owed. You'll be left with nothing. I promise you that. Look at the numbers, what else is possible? Hell, what's to say we aren't even in the last century of labor being even sellable. What's a labor hour worth today, what is a labor hour of a horse now and 100 years ago. But we might....read might....be able to fix it. It'll be an unprecedented fix. A sheer triumph of productivity to overcome lots of odds and care for a lot of people. But step one, will be the hardest. Boomers...get out of the fucking way.

Re: To The Generation NOTHINGS That Hate Baby Boomers
Is it not true that baby boomers define their lives by how many "nice things" they have. Don't you think that the value you put on acquiring stuff might have rubbed off on future generations. Maybe we don't like this meaningless life you have set up for us.

But really is it your fault or your parents? The truth is we are all to blame. Instead of trying to figure out which generation is to blame, we should have a race to be the one to fix it!

Re: To The Generation NOTHINGS That Hate Baby Boomers
The truth is you want someone other than you to be wholly responsible for all of the problems in this country...if not the world.

Included in the "acceptance" of this responsibility, your generation wants to confiscate and redistribute the wealth of those that came before you, be forgiven your accumulated $1 trillion college loan debt because you were "tricked" into believing it was the right thing to do, and not be required to pay into any program that benefits anyone other than you.

Good luck with that. Short of armed conflict, where anyone with grey hair is the target of anyone who is younger than 30, it will never happen. (BTW- we all grew up with weapons and would hand you your asses if you tried that).

You lack the voting base to single-handedly change the fundamental structure and institutions this country operates under (however flawed they are), and will continue to be unsuccessful in convincing anyone that your "hope and change" is logically sound, much less deserved.

Your diatribes on this forum only serve to elicit scorn and disgust from those who have worked hard their entire lives.

You will NEVER win, and you just can't stand that. In the "real" world life is not always fair, you don't always get your way, and not everybody gets a trophy...
