Interesting, I do remember reading awhile back where the whole 12/21/12 thing wasn't the right date. That it was instead somewhere in 2013.

Might be exactly how they'd want this to go down too. I mean give us a false date then when nothing happens we all joke it off and go on our merry way till >BAM< something actually does happen. Letting it hit us while we're blind and unprepared.

However I do also remember reading in at the same place that I read that date that Mayans didn't believe in endings but in new beginnings.

In each culture they had a similar date that suddenly stopped right around the Mayan calendar did. Which is strange if you look into the fact that they are not at all connected by anything.

That's why it's a bit disturbing. Something like that couldn't just not have something happen. The question isn't about when everything's gonna end it's about what will exactly happen. I don't really believe it's an end date to all. But I do expect that whatever will happen or is happening is going to be a gradual process rather than an instantaneous process.

Pope Greg took the Julian calendar (introduced in the '1st' century) and added the extra day every 4 years to more properly account for the solar cycle..

Too bad on the Gregorian calendar, on 12-21-12, the Sun is still in / around Sagittarius..

So when does the Sun enter Capricorn? From what I can see.. it's exactly 1 month later.. on January 21st, 2013.. which is still '2012' for the 'Godly' calendar.. if you want to call it that...

So how is the calendar alignment wrong if it is able to accurately predict the transit of Venus across the face of the Sun? The calendar predicted the astronomical event on a certain day and on that day it happened.
