LOW RUMBLE ALERT: Western Washington/ Seattle low wumbling noise right now.
Hi all,
I've been reading GLP for some time, but this is my first post.

Starting about 9:00pm PST tonight to the present time as I write this note, I have been hearing an intermitent low rumbling noise in the sky.

I am in my backyard, where it is a quiet clear night in Western Washington and hear this intermitent low rumbling sound that is quite noticeable. It lasts about 40-60 seconds and it is the same intensity through that entire time. I asked my friend who was outside with me at the time if she heard it and she confirmed that she heard it as well. She thought it was a neighbor playing a shooter video game, but it was not. I also asked my good buddy to come outside and he also confirmed he heard it. He is a radio operator and started scanning all UHF/VHF freq's and could not hear any military activity in the sky's. Although, it does sound like a jet doing a low pass, those are very distinct and the intensity of the sound wave does gradually pass. However, not this sound.

I live in Redmond, which is a suburb 15 miles east of Seattle. When the sound does appear, the dogs in the neigborhood start barking and howling. When the sounds stops, the dogs stop.

I am a pilot and have been listening to aircraft and airport noise for decades and i can tell you, it is not that sound. As a matter of fact, I can hear aircraft coming through the seattle center approach into seatac and KPAE, and the low rumbling sound is actually under and lower thant the aircraft noise.

There is no contruction radio chatter, no trains coming thru town, and there are not delivery trucks in the area.

I have heard about these noises on previous threads, but this is the first time I have actually ever heard this. It is very fascinating but eery at the same time.

If there are any GLP'ers in seattle area or suburbs now, can you hear it too? Let us know if you do. It is very quiet in my neighborhood though, and I do live up in redmond ridge so I am on a hill, maybe that is why it is very distinct and clear sounding low rumble noise I hear.

Thanks and I'll update later if I can hear in the next few hours.

Regards,
Gooch

Wish I could have helped you out. I was already sacked out, but I will keep my ears tuned. Redmond also near M/S.

same area, I hear it all the time. starts about 8 er 9 pm and can last until 12-1 am. sometimes early morning hours. I gave up on posting about it as everyone has the "I dont believe it until I hear it" attitude. Going out for a walk, will listen. Thanks for the post.

My wife and I heard a loud boom yesterday in St. Louis. It was a very deep and powerful boom.

I live in the Puyallup,WA area and heard it around the same time as you. I assumed it was the Fort Lewis area doing drills, but if you heard it up in Redmond that seems less likely. Keep us posted of you hear anything new!

Hi all. Gooch here.
I was getting ready to go to bed now 11:30 pm PST and sure enough, I just heard it again. I went outside, it is quiet as heck. I can here the cars on novelty hill, but this rumbling noise over powers it. I can tell you that the sound is definitely coming from the west. It is going on right now as I write this. Earlier I tried to rationalize it maybe be the 520 bridge construction or digging in lake washington to secure the pontoons, but they do nt work this late at night.

I'm going to stick around a bit longer and see if I can here another cycle. The duration is shorter, but the frequency of cycles is more than earlier today.

If u can hear it in Puyallup, then it is definately being heard all around western Washington. Let see if Jeff Renner can explain this one:-)

If u here it west of Kitsap peninsula, you probably here it louder than I do, which means it may be coming off the coast, or possibly Juan defuca straight. Anyone up in Anacortes or San Juan islands hear it? Curious how north it goes.

Its a sound illusion. its not coming from west. Its reverb back from the east.

above your head, against the cascades and back to the ground.

Its the san andreas x100. keep going north and south and you will start to see it.

The part of land to the west will drop down and become a wedge in between the two plates. That part will be under water in the end.

The noise isnt a quake. Its the land feeling the up and down vibrations and making a natural speaker.

since its not quake motion it doesnt register as a vibration.

Science has failed.

Ok, thanks for recalculation. East of Kitsap. Also, I am intrigued about this notion of sound illusion, or the low frequency bouncing off the Olympics. I suppose that is possible since the puget sound sits between the cascade range and the Olympics. Low frequency is omni directional. Also another poster did bring up Dream lake. I never heard about it until it was brought up. Dream lake does appear to sit at the west base of the cascade range, North East of Snoqualmie. Any one in that area hearing it too? I am curious about this mentioned crack under this lake. Any additional data on that?

You can see the crack. Google map dream lake. then switch to google earth.

Follow it north and south. some of the crack is 100 yards wide and some is closed like regular ridges. If you zoom out slow you can follow it.

I was reading a forum post on a similar forum site and some one posted in feb 2012 the same experience and noise. Unfortunately I cannot post the link here. But u can search it.

It had an Interesting hypothesis that the NAS at Whidbey Island claims they were doing jet engine testing...at 2:00am in the morning. seems plausible, but far fetched. Any one up near Whidbey NAS here the noise or confirm jet engine testing?

Yep, but the sounds are originating from beneath us...

Some sort of high pressure is being released inside the earth, man holes, sewers and so on are acting like an amplifier, when the pressure sounds are coming out of ground, the sounds bounces off buildings, trees, hills and so on. I have been telling people for months that all the sounds & booms around the world is some sort of pressure release that is being amplified, here is my thread:

Thread: Is This The Sound That People Have Been Hearing Around The World?? Is This What's Been Happening?? The Sound IS Beneath Us....

Look, there is so much activity going on that can be tied to something brewing in the earth, things like bird & animal deaths, methane leaks, dormant Yellowstone geysurs are re activating, fish dying, volcanos going off, dormant volcanos coming alive, el hierro now back alive, dolphin & whale beachings, earthquakes in weird places and so on....the threads are on glp to pull up.

Its all getting worse. We need to start questioning what is happening below us, not in the sky, us looking at the sky for doom is a distraction for what is really happening, wake up people....

I heard a strange rumble last night in Lisbon, Portugal. It took approx. 30 seconds, it started strong then it faded away slowly.
