since ghosts like to hang out where they died, why isn't every hospital in the world haunted?

VERY good points OP. I always wondered the same thing, that is if there are "ghosts" (I have never observed one personally).

Maybe the only hospitals that have ghosts are very old or bad hospitals that allowed their patients to be in screaming pain before they died. Also, hospitals used to be notorious for treating patients without money or family very badly.

They supposedly "haunt" where they had fond and/or intense memories & attachments...not necessarily the physical location where they died.

My mom was a nurse and I have often felt she carried the spirits home with her, as did others. I feel the spirit was assumed onto the person that saves someone who is not meant to be saved. Someones got to do it but damn, guess that is why the indians used to just wander of in the wilderness to die.

The night staff at a major hospital in the city I live in,every now and then have hospital chaplain bless and pray at certain places in the hospital where tragedy occurs on a regular basis.

Ask a nurse who has spent some time at a particular hospital and they'll tell ya there's plenty of spirits walking around.

Many hospitals are haunted but I would like to think that ghost go back too where there family is or a place that meant a lot to them. If I died in a hospital I would try not to hang around there.

there are, seen my first two there. One of the sitting at the head of the bench the other at the foot rocking the damn thing back and forth until I woke up. Gave me a headache, then when I woke up they stayed long enough for me to see them before dissipating.. the Fuckers

There is this one room in Trauma that almost everyone dies in. They call it the unlucky room.

i've never seen a ghost myself, but my dad who is very conservative and don't believe anything without proof believes after staying in a hunting cabin that reportedly had a ghost in it. he awoke to seen two footprints on his bed that night. scared the shit out of him. he slept the rest of the night outside in the cold.

Once a Patient told me he thought he heard voices in the empty bed next to him. I assured him no one was there.
Every bed in every hospital has had some one pass away in it. Usually several. Sometimes many. People come to the hospital to get well and to die. With so many folks getting cancer, alot of families don't want their loved one to die at home. It's sad and superstitious, but it is what it is.
Fact of life and death.
So if spirits hung around hospital rooms, there would be no rest for folks trying to get well.
I don't believe I would waste a moment of my next existance hanging out in an insignificant place. Would you?

I dont know about that. My grandma died in the small school whre she taught and she loved children and all the kids and teachers say she is haunting the school. So I dont know if this is true or not. But they all say they have seen her and have heard her singing. I miss her so much too.

My friend almost died from c diff. When she was fading she said it was just like a movie. She heard whispering and saw transparent people. As she got close to death they became more shop d and t he doctor and nurse faded. She waved at them and started to talk. The doctor say d don't talk to them!

According to my father when he was in a hospital, delirious and on ice tor his 105f fever and kidney infection, he kept getting lured or distracted from consciousness by the spirits and confusing energy that lingered in the hospital. He said he could see people that had died there recently. He fought the distractions and did his best to maintain consciousness. He said that he knew that if he stopped fighting for consciousness and pair attention to them he would have died.

I cleaned up asbestos at an old mental hospital and the woman's dorms were haunted you would be working away and hear footsteps behind you then turn and nothing was there or we were all in the main lobby having lunch and you could still hear people working in the building even though know one was working at the time. Did not see anything or hear anything in the main building where the criminally insane were held however we were told in advanced that the woman's dorms were supposedly haunted so many we were expecting it and heard what we wanted to hear.

Maybe they are haunted . . .
