BREAKING: Eric Holder may be disbarred over Fast and Furious - No Executive Privilege
Executive Privilege can't stop this one. Let's hope the Bloggers don't get Breitbarted!

"President Obama's eleventh hour save of Eric Holder by invoking Executive privilege over Fast and Furious documents may have temporarily protected the Attorney General, yet fresh legal challenges might cause him to lose his law license.

Several days ago bloggers Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea filed a joint complaint to the Washington, D.C. Office of Bar Counsel accusing Holder of improper conduct while Congress was attempting to unveil the truth surrounding the gun-running operation, which left a border patrol officer dead."

Yes, Bush did have a gun walking program, and it ended with his administration.
The F&F is very different and did not have the controls that were there in the previous administration.

I know it is good PR to say Bush started it, but it is starting to wear very thin.

In a nutshell, you are wrong. This is much worse than Watergate. People have been murdered.

Well, good. Admitting Fast and Furious was an Obama Administration Operation is a good start.

Now, you need to admit hundreds of innocent Mexicans have been killed and as whistle blowers have stated, they were not allowed to make arrests, told to let the guns go across the border and not allowed to inform or work with Mexican authorities. Then, you'll begin to understand the scope of fast and furious and question its real purpose.

Fair enough?

I'm absolutely convinced people are incapable of governing themselves.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4227306

People absolutely are capable of self governance... within the framework of a constitutional republic which is rule by law and by a people who adhere to basic moral standards. John Adams, second president of the United States, was asked what kind of constitution we had. His reply was that, “the Constitution for the United States was written for a moral and upright people and is wholly inadequate for the governance of any other”. As a republic of “moral and upright people”, the United States was the world's most successful self governing nation for a couple of centuries. We managed to remain free, save large portions of the rest of the world from tyranny, achieve the highest standard of living in the world, the highest levels of technology, and we were the worlds lone economic and military superpower.

Anyone upset about the use of past tense, look around you. We are not the moral nation we once were and we are paying the price for abandoning our founding principles. The lie of democracy has taken root in the immorality of hedonism. “If it feels good do it” has translated into “if you want it vote for it” no matter whether it is wrong or unconstitutional or violates the very founding principles of our nation.

Under the lawlessness that is the mob mentality of a democracy, nothing long will stand. This ultimately immoral system of rule by influenced popular whims has now lead to an oligarchy here. The imposing authorities push the buttons of useful idiots to sway popular opinions and thus gain excuse to impose any tyranny that the latest “crisis” is manufactured to obtain.

To be self governing you first have to have your own personal principles. Sadly, people just don’t have those any more. It isn’t the practice of self governance that has failed, it is the abandonment of the principles of that system.

A distinction without a much of a difference, if that's even true. It was an ATF program that put guns into the hands of criminals. The program wasn't cancelled until Obama found out about it. The Repuglicans are just trying to turn it into a political scandal to save their flawed, unpopular candidate Rmoney.
