Help me out here. Isn't the C,M,X scale for electromagnetic energy coming from flares? If so, isn't that completely different from a CME, which is actual particles from the sun? I have seen several posters saying, "Don't worry, only a X1.4." But wasn't that for the flare, not the CME? I don't really know that much about this shit.
