Without foreign intervention coming soon, i can't see them setting such a thing up. Last Edited by insertfunnyusername on 07/19/2012 05:56 PM |

Quoting: Doom Lover I posted this yesterday, maybe even in one of your threads that I bet the bastards will start a onslaught when Ramadan starts. It starts tomorrow here in Egypt, or actually it already did now, being midnight, in Saudi Arabia it starts Saturday - I don't know which zone Syria falls in. |

Quoting: insertfunnyusername no, not a piece of cake, just something largely not understood. 2 or 3 months the government and the Russians said that in a week they would have been crushed. maybe the syrian military power - with the support of Iran, Russia and Hezbollah - was a big bluff? |

Quoting: Doom Lover The military said residents have 48 hours to leave areas where clashes are taking place between security forces and rebels, a security source told AFP. [link to mar15.info] Ramadan begins in the evening of Thursday, July 19, 2012 [link to abcnews.go.com] Exactly when the holy month begins, however, is a matter of annual debate. Oh, the confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people. |

Anyways, I kind of had the feeling yesterday there would be an escalation at the start of Ramadan. Shows how "(un)holy" Jihadists they are attacking innocents while fasting during their Holy Month. Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen, as well as Lebanon's Sunni Muslims, were among those to announce a Friday start. Syria tanks number is in the top10 worlwide. Not talking about quality of the tanks here, just number wise. Rebels have almost none. Can't see the bluff tbh they have the army and they barely used it so far, if we don't have a foreign intervention anytime soon the rebels will be slaughtered, i give them 2-3 months tops if things don't change. |

At a meeting Sunday, Olmert asked Pelosi to take a message to Assad that Israel would be interested in peace if Syria stops its support for terrorism. Assad has repeatedly said in the past year that Damascus is willing to negotiate with Israel, insisting the talks must lead to the return of the Golan Heights, seized by Israel in the 1967 Mideast War. UN Resolution 242 - Israel is in violation for not returning the territories seized |
