You do make a good point there. If marriage is going to be re-defined from being between one man and one woman to two men or two women, then why not one man and two women or some other combination?

I also think if you legalized polygamy most people wouldn't do it just because of the complexity nowadays...too many things can go wrong, so it would then make sense to just stick to one wife, irrespective of he law. Law can always change social mores the farther you go into the future so why not.

my own personal view on polygamy is that it could 'potentially' work, but in actuality it just ends up with jealousy & control issues. kids get hurt & hearts broken.
