Hey all, I am a Jehovah's Witness so you can take my points with a grain of salt if you wish. Before I start I'd like to inform you that people are trying to mislead you....


First of all the age old talking point to discredit our faith in Jesus as our Savior using John 1:1 is ridiculous. The one true god Jehovah has acknowledged other beings as 'gods' like Satan is the "God of this system". However, he demands WORSHIP only to him, we don't worship Jesus but we do try to follow his example right down to who he prayed to before his death (think about this one, read Luke 40:43). We reject the Trinity doctrine.

Remember that before the Christian Greek scriptures were written Jesus was referred to in the Hebrew Scriptures as "the word", so we know exactly who this verse is referring to.

As regards to the Revelation 1:8 vs 1:17 how you interpret relates to what you believe. We believe that Jehovah has always existed in that he has no beginning and will always exist, and that Jesus is his first creation and through/with his 'only begotten son' they created everything and everyone else.

1:8 is talking about Jehovah and 1:17 describes Jesus Imitating his father, by that I mean he showed the same love, Justice, Wisdom, and Power throughout his existence, especially to us when he was on Earth.

And btw Jehovah's Witnesses don't "recruit", I heard that from atheist classmates in high school. Obviously we believe that we hold the truth, and we share our knowledge with other human beings.

As for waking you up on a Saturday morning, remember most of what Jesus did on Earth once he was baptized was Preach and Teach people about his father's kingdom that would solve all problems including death. An admirable goal for any human being that believes in god.

I don't know if the rest of you know this, but the 7th day Adventists HATE Jehovah's Witnesses and differ in doctrine. Mormons send young boys on bikes to push their Illuminati bible aid book for 2 years and then they get a sweet scholarship. Jehovah's Witness' are ALL volunteers, plus we don't believe in any of the levels of hell or mystical planets or aliens.

The definition of 'cult' is usually about the Trinity or Godhead. If they do not accept that yet call themselves 'christian' they are a Christian cult.

The Mormons use other books. While JW use only the Bible they use an edited version called the New World translation that has omitted large sections and changed passages. They refuse to go to Greek & Hebrew to prove their version.

I remember having a friend who lived down the street who grew up as a Jehova's witness. He literally wasn't allowed to celebrate anything. No christmas, no easter, halloween, new years eve, not even his fxxxing birthday!! What a miserable existence.

Passages re the Trinity for one thing. The KJV absolutely does support the three being one God.

There is a pagan version of the trinity but this was only a copy of the original.
