I often wonder if we are not all just suffering from sensory overload. You know? So much information flying around that we used to not get and so now it just seems like there is "more" but there really isn't...we are just hearing about it more often. Quoting: Damrod That being said, it seems pretty obvious to me that the climate is changing. I have lived in the same general area nearly all my life and the weather patterns are just "different" and generally more extreme. Not only that, it seems like fall and winter arrive earlier as does spring and summer...like the seasons are shifting their positions on the calendar. We had snow last year before Halloween. July was what August usually is and now August is just as odd. I usually get up and get a cup of coffee and go out on the porch for a smoke. The last few mornings have been on the edge of "chilly". Factor in the wind and the low to mid 60's and it was almost too chilly to be out there in shorts...this is the middle of August. The mid day temps here have actually been pleasant...low to mid 80's. Maybe I am imagining it. Just seems like July was what August is supposed to be and now August seems like what September ought to be. Just my observation and opinion. I was thinking about that yesterday. I have always been a gardener and it does seem the seasons have shifted by about 2 weeks. I observe this with my plants and also with the behavior of my honeybees. We will be having open windows time it looks like starting this weekend (I admit that I do love open window season). I live in the Northern Half of Virginia, sounds like you are close by from your post. LoL...yep....Winchester area. Gorgeous place. Hoping to retire there someday but not so sure retirement will be in the cards for most of us anymore. Love the British pub down in the historic district. Could the ground be heating up from Magma coming to the surface of the islands? Quoting: The Chosen One if that volcano at la palma falls into the ocean you can say goodbye to the east coast from key west to maine... Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. ~ Life is about choices, you get to make them each and every day of your life. ~ Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.~ Only in America... do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poloi' in Greek meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.~ “When a government is dependent for money upon the bankers, they and not the government leaders control the nation. This is because the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. Financiers are without patriotism and without decency.” If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain. Winston Churchill |

LOL!!! worth my weight in squirrels. |
