Fukushima Daiichi Reactor 4 - High Res Photos - July 2012
These are some really amazing photos, they prove the intensity of danger posed and are literally stunning to see, especially considering that this building is supposed to house, contain, and protect from raw and used radioactive fuel.

Our Luck is that the Fuel Pool Nr. 4 do
not rest on the outside Walls
but People who think that the Tepco
Web Site is only Evil do not know this,
they just see this Photos and react!

The Construction Blueprints are there,
even in some other Blogs and i guess
i even posted them here!

Don't Panic!

thanks for the pics and info, I just don't understand why nothing more has been done ... or why the entire global community isn't demanding that MORE be done NOW

we can't afford to sit around ten years - with all that radiation being projected into the atmosphere ... it KEEPS GETTING WORSE ...

here is an operation manual with photos/diagrams for a Mark III reactor. This is an official manual.

I know.. japan cannot be in denial for much longer, I'd say a couple more years max before the deformities trump Chernobyl and cannot be hidden any longer. The situation is literally total devastation.

Oh, thanks for the clarification.

A nuclear reactor, with the lid literally blown off, an exposed and broken cooling system, damaged piping everywhere - that doesn't prove that the danger is severe? Having to spray ocean water onto this with a fire hose doesn't tell you that something is wrong?? Yawn... Okay.

The lid isent blown off. That containment lid is still on. Plus that reactor is defueled. So technically a destroyed cooling system means sweet fuck all when no fuel in the reactor needs to be cooled.

Im not downplaying the situation, but you need to think twice and read twice before you post.

was #4 empty...as is decommissioned? or just in cold shutdown?

i believe #4 was in cold shutdown.

read up on what cold shutdown is....it's far from what one would think.

Shutdown

A decrease in the rate of fission (and heat/energy production) in a reactor (usually by the insertion of control rods into the core).

If it was shut down for relining/pressure tube replacement "sfcr" then there would be no fuel in the fuel channels.

All fuel would be in the fuel pool.
