I know.. japan cannot be in denial for much longer, I'd say a couple more years max before the deformities trump Chernobyl and cannot be hidden any longer. The situation is literally total devastation.

A nuclear reactor, with the lid literally blown off, an exposed and broken cooling system, damaged piping everywhere - that doesn't prove that the danger is severe? Having to spray ocean water onto this with a fire hose doesn't tell you that something is wrong?? Yawn... Okay.

The lid isent blown off. That containment lid is still on. Plus that reactor is defueled. So technically a destroyed cooling system means sweet fuck all when no fuel in the reactor needs to be cooled.

Im not downplaying the situation, but you need to think twice and read twice before you post.

was #4 empty...as is decommissioned? or just in cold shutdown?

i believe #4 was in cold shutdown.

read up on what cold shutdown is....it's far from what one would think.

#4 Reactor was shut down for relining. Supposedly.

If it was shut down for relining/pressure tube replacement "sfcr" then there would be no fuel in the fuel channels.

All fuel would be in the fuel pool.

Look like nuked.
