Unfortunately these days he does seem to be the exception rather than the rule. There is a reason people hate the police.

That's funny. If I did that up here in British Columbia I'd have about two dozen cop cars around me in 90 seconds with helicopters hovering above. If they didn't shoot me first I'd be off to jail faster than than you could blink...

If the cop really was pro 2nd amendment like he made it out to be, he wouldn't have stopped them if he thought they were carrying a full auto. That's like saying you have freedom of speech, but only if you avoid certain subjects.

Its really sad that this officer is considered amazing and worthy of praise for actually doing his damn job.

There is a difference between open carrying a pistol and a MP5 look alike. I thought the cop deserves a commendation for the way he handled the situation. The police officer is absolutely correct in that there is no way to determine wether that firearm is full or semi auto without examining it. If they were carrying revolvers or known semi auto pistols it's a different story, but carrying a MP5 look alike is just begging for trouble and the guys were clearly bating the police officer.

This police office deserves a round of applause and I would be proud to have him on our police force where I am from.

Cool cop! Well handled, they wanted him to f#$% up and he didn't. He was courteous and firm but not disrespectful. I like the cut of his jib heh heh.

By the way, I mainly open carry a SA TRP .45ACP with two mags opposite, sometimes conceal carry, and sometimes both.

I'm really disappointed by all these people on this site praising this cop. He is better than the other cops, but still not good enough. He never should stopped the man, and he shouldn't be enforcing the unconstitutional law banning fully automatic weapons.
