Why do women find it easy to leave a good guy, but impossible to leave an asshole?

This has been discussed to death.

Long story short: 'nice guys' tend to treat them even worse than the 'assholes'.

My favorite line has always been " Were'd all the good ones go??" LMAO I answer them: You gort rid of them. You didnt want them before, now after youve had your a** handed to ya a few times, you want to go crawling back to the good one.

No woman wants to hold power over a man she is attracted to.

Guys, why do you always lumps us all together? Trust me, I DID leave the asshole and I've been with the good guy for 24 years. We're not all bitches and whores. Come on...

I'm glad for you, no i know not all stay with the bad boy. but many do.

The assholes are persistent, and relentless. Girls mistake that for kindness or being "caring"

They don't have a problem leaving guys who aren't available for their attention.

But some have a problem leaving a guy who treats them like garbage, because, as they say in Hollywood, "Any publicity is good publicity." The women are getting ATTENTION, even if it's verbal or physical abuse. Someone is paying them attention, and they're worried that if they leave him, they won't find anyone else. That's why.

OP some women like nice guys..eccentric/nerd/geek/introverted/thinkers etc...except that type of guy doesnt seem to put themselves in situations to meet women...where as the badboys are out and about"hunting" so to speak...bad boys look to see if women are looking at them, a nice guy mighnt notice, but just go about his day.

and prob most of the nice guys in here are to glued to their PCs for a girl to find them...probably the nice girls in here are too lol

If you don't know the answer to that question by now, then you NEVER will...no matter HOW many times its repeated.

I am thankful I have not fallen into that trap, but I have observed it in a few friends. The bad boys seem to have perfected how to be charming and attentive in the beginning, and then the truth sets in, but that whole thing where the women tells themselves it will change and get better is always in remembrance of the charming side of them. The good guys don't need to turn on the charm because they are not trying to fool anyone, but it takes longer for the women to see the goodness because it is not as in your face as the charming ways of the bad boys. So they get kicked to the curb prematurely.

Its basic human instinct, women need to feel dominated to feel protected. They also need to feel like a guy can protect them, so no matter how much a girl says she likes nice guys deep down she needs to know theres a bit of an asshole in they that will be able to protect her!

The reality is not what men tend to think.

You do not fall in love with many people - truly deeply in love with a few in a lifetime.

They don't love the " nice guy " so leave him, hence many women who " do love the nice guy " never do.

They do love the prick, so find it hard to leave or stay away - the pricks they didn't fall in love with were kerbed close to first signs of it.

i have a few"bad boy" friends and yes ive heard them sit around plotting how to charm and schmooze girl number 76 etc..and they do turn it right on from the start...where as MrNice...may just be himself...he may be nervous, he may make honest mistakes purely because hes not plotting how to charm and get it right to get what he wants 24/7...and women read this as him not making an effort etc..and then go for someone thats flat out trying to impress them and charm them, albeit for ulterior motives.

some women like no fuss and sleaze and see straigh through the badboys though too.

Or maybe...The "good/nice guys" aren't so "nice" afterall...

Perhaps many of them just use that sickly sweet grovelling to try and "get a womans love" because they lack the confidence to actually directly ask for or tell a woman what they want...and that reeks of manipulation...Suspected covert manipulation will probably make anybody run...

From personal experience, "nice guys" tend to turn into sobbing psychotic suicidal drama queens when you say you want out...

I guess "nice guys" are our version of the dreaded "psycho needy chick" that men can sniff a mile away...

Some men have a tendency to become violent and abusive toward their partner/girlfiend. A lot of them can be very controlling physically and emotionally.
