When you look at the radar from the keys, you can clearly see the eye so the blop in cuba makes no sense.

Seems like a technical error. Take a look at the names: Mexico, Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Thx. It's a strange one, for sure! What worries me is, "they" got everyone in Florida all ready and I haven't seen anything, except here, to warn the rest of the Gulf. Not much anyway.

From Dr. Jeff Masters Blog:The latest 06Z (2 am EDT) run of the GFDL model keeps Isaac as a strong tropical storm until landfall in Louisiana. Isaac will undergo rapid intensification into a Category 3 hurricane as it hits New Orleans, says the latest 06Z (2 am EDT) run of the HWRF model. The ECMWF model has Isaac as a strong Category 2 storm with a central pressure near 950 mb as it hits near the Alabama/Florida border.

My summary of this blog update is: The models are disagreeing. It is causing confusion.

So, if Hurricane Isaac starts moving just 2 degrees west of its projected path, south(east) Louisiana and MS are screwed.

Oddly, the weather in Oklahoma has seemed like it did just before Katrina, rainy and mild for August.

Also, I saw a skunk this weekend with a very light top coat. And the deer in my field are already getting thick and their coats are light.
