With the way Ron Paul's delegates were treated by the RNC, and the dictatorially-enstated new rules set forth by the RNC, Ron Paul should run as a Third Party candidate. Sure, Romney would probably lose. But is that a BAD THING?! As if Obama and Romney are any different! We know they're not. By running on a Third Party ticket, Ron Paul will demonstrate that there's no difference in our current two party system.

Ron Paul is too special and unique a candidate to bow out now.

True. Good point. The conventional wisdom is that by a large margin, Ron Paul would attract more Republicans than Democrats. But you're right....there are a lot of Democrats that like Ron Paul for many of his stances on the issues, having to do with individual liberties, foreign policy, monetary policy, and government out of our bedrooms. Very good point. ^5!
