Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23377141 Yes, this is a fact. Everyone was trying to say it was pollen, but it didn't look like any pollen I've ever seen. It was everywhere here in the bay. It was thick and stuck to my cars etc. My lymph nodes were swollen for no apparent reason at that time also. I fear what all this may lead to, it was inescapable. i still have traces of the powder on my trash can ridges and we have had torrential rains since the powdery rainfall and this was over a year ago. everyone i know has had the 'allergies from hell'or 'major sinus problems' or a bad 'virus' i read on facebook constantly that someone is very very sick. we all keep taking turns with the congestion, sneezing, the snot from hell- it makes you sick there is so much and it lasts for months on end at very odd times of the year. It's my turn to go through it now (as i have it)and my husband had it for like 3 months. Since you still have evidence, can you please get it tested?! |

I thought it was massive amounts of pollen in Seattle that spring, but something makes me think otherwise. Never encountered that yellow powder stuff in the air before or since. Quoting: Eternium That was the fall out Any reason for the color and substance? I'll ask my parents, they lived in the eastern bloc during Chernobyl, what they experienced. Uranium (yellowcake) is yellow. Yellow powder. so your parents how old and what kind of health problems do they have please. |

Well not anti fukshima, you see you are actually known to discredit any article in which reflects data in which could impact the general global view of the fukushima crisis in a negative fashion. You began posting in april 2011, and have used multiple user accounts, to discredit actual data from various colleges and universitys. Even in this article you attempt to discredit the source "enenews". However you fail to mention that although enenews hosts this news, that the actual data was in no way altered by the site, and was simply publicised on their website. This is pure Yellow Journalism! Yellow journalism, or the yellow press, is a type of journalism that presents little or no legitimate well-researched news and instead uses eye-catching headlines to sell more newspapers.[1] Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism.[1] By extension, the term yellow journalism is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion.[2] Campbell (2001) defines yellow press newspapers as having daily multi-column front-page headlines covering a variety of topics, such as sports and scandal, using bold layouts (with large illustrations and perhaps color), heavy reliance on unnamed sources, and unabashed self-promotion. The term was extensively used to describe certain major New York City newspapers about 1900 as they battled for circulation. Frank Luther Mott (1941) defines yellow journalism in terms of five characteristics[3]: scare headlines in huge print, often of minor news lavish use of pictures, or imaginary drawings use of faked interviews, misleading headlines, pseudoscience, and a parade of false learning from so-called experts emphasis on full-color Sunday supplements, usually with comic strips dramatic sympathy with the "underdog" against the system. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24001846 The post-Fukushima peak for I-131 in the U.S. appears to have been in the San Francisco Bay Area, where levels reached 19.85 Bq/l. An I-131 level of 19.85 Bq/l detected in the Bay Area rain sample is equivalent to 19,850,000 particles of I-131 per liter. [link to www.youtube.com] [link to enenews.com] |
