Whatever anyone thinks it is, it's more maneuverable than a satellite and cheaper to launch.

A clue as to whether it has any bearing on tectonic/geological happenings here on earth while it's up there is to see what tectonic/geological events happen between the time it's in orbit and the time it touches back down.

The XB37 was designed to do several things. A few examples being, disable/fix satellites, weapons delivery system (WDS), space and weather exploration and it also makes a great spy plane. Its basically a remote control space plane that really smart people get to play with.
