Is said person still on UK TV a lot or have they disappeared from view? I can think of a few of those late 70s music types who were in kids' TV during the early 80s and went on to "better things". And I don't think it's the one you mentioned earlier...

i dont live in uk anymore so cant say. pretty certain he's not on tv anymore. I read a lot of press for my job and not seen him promo'ing any shows that's for sure. his era was late 80's/ 90's. it would also be wrong to say more as i just dont have hard facts, just what was said by someone senior who had a knack of being right.

my point on here isnt to out people, just that there appears to have been a much bigger problem that was swept under the carpet. gonna be interesting to see what happens after saville, that's for sure. i'm as keen for more real info/evidence as anyone else. I'm not out to come across as some industry insider. In scheme of things, I only know a tiny bit more than you guys do. Which could easily be passed off as idle gossip by a lawyer who knows what theyre doing.

I can only sit and wait for more stuff to come out on whoever, then say 'shit, x was right, again'.

Reading the uk press today, someone else who was mentioned by my old boss, appears to be driving nails in saville's coffins which i find a bit confusing. is he being truthful and innocent, or has he been told to say something in return for protection and keep the scandal localised to saville?

my main reason for being on this thread was to just say get the popcorn out. if they've gone for saville, it's bound to be others soon if more victims have the courage to speak out.. Saville was the most untouchable of the lot,anyone beneath him has got to be a sitting duck....

he was untouchable on many fronts: knowledge of how to play media first and foremost, friends in high places, money to deal robustly with any allegations using the best lawyers in britian/ the world. also you have to think about media leverage too.

who will print anything concerning/ involving the BBC, knowing full-well they may not get access to exclusive interviews with actors/actresses/whoever for top show/series etc???

that last one is how media really works. esp for the music industry. up and coming talent doesnt just get features etc. the channel/publication has prob been held over a barrel with a much bigger artist, for fear of losing out to a competitor. esp say in 4th quarter of yr when big hitters have all their albums out in time for christmas. imagine if the mirror trumped the sun for exclusive interview/double page spread and free copies of album + gig tickets for say someone like rihanna, where you have to collect 5 tokens etc in order to enter? for the BBC during 80's, it could've been access to promo tours for say Dynasty or Dallas or whatever that wouldve sold tabloids.

so, printing something about saville couldve meant losing out on somethign that wouldve sold papers on a weekly basis for months on end. rather than selling papers off the back of one story.

The rumours of Jimmy Saville being sexually promiscuous were around for years... The connection with pedophilia is something that I came across several years ago and made much sense since the guy appeared to be very dodgy to me.

The facts are that many many people are aware of this mans crime, and as TV presenter Esther Rantzen said last night on C4 news, the victims and witnesses had up until now been afraid to expose Saville because of his connections with people in high places such as PM Magaret Thatcher, Princess Anne, Prince Philip and wealth of TV producers and exec's.

This was a huge clue to me as to how wide this can of worms will open and it is a blessing that finally an insight into the evil that is and has been done by these satanists.

He may appear to have got away with it... but justice will be done and everyone associated and involved with this kind of evil amongst the ranks of our entertainment, political, law and indeed so called royalty will now have the spotlight on them.

This is the beginning of the truth and the removal of these dark misfits from high power in our society.

If he liked children, who are by definition sexually immature, the would make him a pedophile.

It was illegal at the time, no doubt, but what exactly where the laws about the various things at the time?

I think that there is some retroactive rule changing going on here.

This isn't saying that he wasn't breaking the law, or that he shouldn't have been in real trouble for it, I'm just pointing out that teenagers are not babies. You'd think people would know the difference, but there you have it.

Just confirmed on BBC - Jersey police had allegation of abuse by Jimmy Saville but insufficient evidence to proceed.
