Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16980275 are these readings anywhere near assumption parish? or michigan? follow the dots. it ain't fukushima. SINKHOLE/SALTDOME leaking ???? Although THEY say that THEY were monitoring what comes out I'd expect people/indepentent researches on site would monitor ESPECIALLY radiation levels in the area SINCE this become public.... |

And, yes...since two weeks ago. Normal readings in my area is anywhere from 5 to 14 uSv/hour. I have witnessed increases up to 26 for short periods much like waves moving in. I'm in northeast US. |

Most readings in the USA were around 20CPM around that time. Right now a lot of readings are around 40, some peaking around 50 and 60, and there is even 1 reading on the border of Minnesota en Winsconsin that tops 73CPM Everything above 100CPM is dangerous. It's obvious to see that the CPM levels are climbing in the USA. |

ehecatl User ID: 24751261 Mexico 10/01/2012 10:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That is because they are using the EPA graphs, and paradoxically the EPA graphs have been showing accurate unbiased readings (and alarming high spikes ever since fuku). Part of that has to do with the fact that the EPA measuring stations measure isotope particulates gathered from air filters, rather than only simple geiger-type readings. And all along the people who care,* (*The people who care enough to monitor radiation and isotopes are a very small portion of the population, but most of whom distrust the EPA because they are knee-jerk anti-government so they have not learned to be truly independent yet and think for themselves. The "government" is a complex creature composed of many sometimes conflicting interests. But the EPA system was developed in times and in locations where the environment was relatively clean, so at the time there no reason not to present good honest science.) ...the people who care are looking at the readings of the couple of so-called citizen networks, and being lulled into a false sense of complacency, because those networks are merely reporting geiger readings, and not levels of radio-isotopes that get trapped in air filters (and your lungs). Don't ignore the EPA readings! Not for the moment at least. The EPA readings are scarier and more revealing for the anti-nuke people than much of what they come up with on their own. They reveal that the situation is more complex than just Fukushima, which is not surprising in the real world where the greatest concentration of these sources are located in the contiguous united states. But I understand that the complexity of the situation is perceived as a thorn in the side of some anti-nuclear leaders, which wish to focus all attention on Fukushima, which of course is a very serious and still unstable situation. Obviously this is difficult because people will talk to others. But just make sure they know the information is not to be passed on to any reporters. I have a feeling a goal of hiding the story from the mainstream press is achievable the more transparent we are. It sounds like it should be the opposite, but they will work with us here if they know they can help with an agenda to promote widespread ignorance of threats. Look how loyal they've been with Fast and Furious. |

In 10-15 years our understanding will be much different. It may not take that long since much of the radiation we are all being exposed to is from food and goods shipped into the US from Japan (Pacific ocean) and the east coast. Internal radiation exposure is very different from just being exposed to it in the environment..and the hot particles we each breath in every day? Yes my friend, humanity has been culled.... we are just too fearful to collectively strike back at those responsible. Besides... the NEW IPHONE 5 IS OUT!!!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 12933179 United States 10/01/2012 11:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Milton said the total amount of emitted radioactivity has been quite low and the public health risk should be minimal. Is this a joke? Is this the brilliant minds we are entrusting with educating our children? Common sense and reason paint a much different picture. Milton, however, was quick to note that, aside from his academic expertise, it’s difficult to definitively state the dangers — or offer advice — from more than an ocean’s distance away. No it's not you assmonkey... “I’m not on the ground level. That's an understatement professor... The situation is concerning, he said, however, it doesn’t compare to the life-threatening danger of the 1986 Chernobyl reactor disaster in the Ukraine. What koolaid has this shrill been drinking? Where is he getting his information? Everything available from independent resources tells us that Fuckedashima IS MANY TIMES WORSE than Chernobyl. He admitted that Japan’s reactors are old, but the design of its system is more sophisticated, he said. That's the separation from his own accountability for talking out the side of his neck.... “One does need to bear in mind that any type of power plant is potentially dangerous. ... There’s risk with anything you do. And, of course, when you have a terrible disaster like earthquakes and tsunamis, there’s going to be unforeseen circumstances,” said Milton, who compared living nearby an oil refinery as more dangerous and life threatening than neighboring a nuclear plant. “Something like this is extremely rare but, of course, it’s a big concern when it happens,” he said. If Fukushima doesn't kill us all, we're in deep shit anyways with assmonkeys like this in "higher" education.... |

Now that I am in Montana I have not had it go off at all... What I worry about is the cows/livestock, corn, wheat etc that has been exposed to all of this and now we are eating these radiated products..none of it is safe. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 24754113 United States 10/01/2012 12:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I wish we had a source for information on the EPA alpha graphs. The only links I have found so far are the beta, gamma and x graphs. Alpha would be detected from radio-isotopes of uranium, plutonium, cesium and many other isotopes. Quoting: ehecatl From [link to optimalprediction.com] "I should also add that Raleigh, North Carolina experienced beta radiation 500 times normal last Saturday. On the EPA Radnet graph, beta was extremely elevated, but gamma radiation did not jump. It is likely that these radionuclides included sulfur-35 (rotten-egg smell), and strontium-90, which are pure beta emitters, and krypton-85, which is about 99.5% beta. The rainstorm currently in the southeast US, and moving towards New England, is likely to contain dirty radioactive rain. Please use an umbrella if you go out into it." =============== The spike in NC was on 9/17: "Bobby1 on September 17, 2012 at 4:38 pm said: There was an intense plume of beta radiation on Saturday the 15th in Raleigh, NC. This was like the one in South Bend, IN, or the one that got me in May. Sickputer posted this on Enenews: [link to enenews.com] Raleigh had a 931 on September 12 and then a monster reading of 15,481 on the 15th:" [link to optimalprediction.com] =============== Remember all those threads around 9/17 about the sulfur smell in CA? [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] Do you think there is a correlation to that smell and the radiation increase since the 17th? On another, er, related note, some words to think about, from the Fukishima blog, [link to optimalprediction.com] ""Wow,…I LOVE this quote! Two tiny paragraphs explain what we’re ALL going through,…errrr, the 99% are! “As an adult any experience that rises above a certain stress threshold induces the hypnogogic state, resulting in a suspension of conscious processing. In this state whatever we experience will be stored in our subconscious memory but not consciously processed. This is why we are bombarded daily with negative messages that frighten us. It suspends our conscious processing and keeps our subconscious mind open to suggestive programming. In this way we are molded to fit the agenda of the elite. We are regressed daily into a state of hypnogogic compliance and downloaded with predictive programming by the media and entertainment industry.” -Vito Santana"" GLP, anyone? Anyway that blog also has great info on radiation sickness symptoms and suggested health care. |
