BTW - the war FDR did give us (the Cold War) was a war, and it claimed millions of lives, millions lived in tyranny, and billions of dollars were wasted - and the resources of a planet were squandered. Because he was too ill to stand up to Stalin and Mao and end WWII effectively - so it ground on until the 1980s and brings us back to Reagan: Who clearly had the balls to tell the Soviets to STFU. And they had the sense to do it. And the patience to wait for a series of weak, greedy, inattentive men to take power in the US - so they could make a comeback. Which brings us all the way up to now...
