I'll add to that. The charged coupling device (CCD) cameras, are the only ones affected by radiation. Those are also the only images broadcasted back to earth. So as the other poster pointed out: bandwidth is an issue. The cameras that use chromium metal oxide semiconducters (CMOS) and the new low light Japanese technology, are not affected by radiation. Those images are not broadcasted & I'd put money down, that we are not allowed to see those images. |
