Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 25251012 United States 10/09/2012 01:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My dad's truck battery has been acting up, actually his whole electrical and then recently my car's battery starting getting faulty. Mind you both cars were recently taken in to the shop before these issues arose. . . so what is it? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19464641 I have no clue what it is. The last time my vehicle has been in the shop was to get new tires on it, and that was the beginning of September. I found these incidents strange and wondered if anybody else had similar problems...or maybe knew what the problem was. |

Same went for today, although it started a little better than yesterday. Also, when I start it, the gauges jump around wildly - tachometer, oil pressure, etc. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24028110 sounds like a ground issue. check that theyre tight and not corroded. ops issue sounds like a carb issue if the pedal needs to be pumped to start it. if it is efi then the pedal pumping is unrelated as its all computer controlled. test the battery. 12.6v is 100% |

It's a small town shop that my family trusts and I've never had problems with them before. :( The problem IS the tires...'smart tires' are talking to the computer in your car! look into it, if you don't believe me! Also, Onstar is always listening/tracking your vehicle and it CAN'T be disconnected or turned off. It is hardwired into your ignition computer. Cut the wire...car won't start! |

BRIEF User ID: 381742 United States 10/09/2012 02:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No lights come on, I pump the gas a little bit and it starts. If I don't, then it has to be jumped. It's low voltage...the injectors and coils can't fire properly on low voltage...could be a corroded connection, weak battery or faulty alternator... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25122067 United Kingdom 10/09/2012 02:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | well this is weird. on way home tonight, approaching a big roundabout, at the junction, a car was broken down, and was being jump started by another vehicle. so it was obviously going when it got to the junction, then completely died. hmmm not something you see normally. vehicles only normally need to be jump started when they're cold. |

A few days ago, but I thought the starter was going out and complained to my brother about it. Then a couple days later it was fine. I have an older jeep liberty also.
