For me it is because he is in shape, cares about his body, and isnt a big veiny steroided meathead.

That V is a natural result of body building. Not overdoses of creatine, protein, etc. it's just the body's natural shape after bending from crunches and whatnot.

I go to the gym regularly and I see men (of course they wear the shirts that get them noticed...men...) and every once in a while I catch a glimpse of the V.

Every once in a while I catch a glimpse of the unnatural shapes made from the abovementioned supplements....it just doesn't compare.

So, the appeal to me is that he is naturally healthy and takes care of himself.
