If you eat that shit who cares if it's GMO or not. It's about the coffee, and many Canadians and Americans both love the stuff. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19492756 Doughnuts are gross. Nice to see someone other than me still spells it out like that! Doughnut! Not donut. Though I am sure both are correct. Call me old fashioned. As for the debate. Tim's coffee used to be better, but i still enjoy a cup now and then, maybe once every few months i will go for one. It isnt any better than what i could brew at home if i wasn't so lazy to get my coffee maker out. As it is, I drink extra strong no name instant coffee every morning. Cant start my day without it. Literally - I have IBS, and while my doc told me to stay away from my morning coffee, i painfully found out that without out it i just cant go to the bathroom. lol, so i drinks it because i needs it! was that TMI?? :malefav: I love this place!! |

The U.S. over-took Russia I think last year and is now the world's #2 gas producer after Saudi Arabia. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26539904 I rarely drink it anymore because I drink mine black and that shit taste burnt. I now buy Cuban Beans and grind them and then filter it through a gizmo that I have for a Keurig. And that factory coffee for the Keurig is over priced and tastes way worse than Tims! And Dunkin Donuts....I would sooner drink hot piss than that. If America runs on Dunkins then America is running on empty! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 24960373 United States 11/04/2012 10:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have it on the North American continent and in two countries: Canada and the U.S. I have tried it in both countries but only Dunkin Donuts in the U.S. thus far. I like both as they are completely different to be honest with you. INCREDIBLE coffee, but what seems to make both is the CREAM that they use. This is what is UNIQUE for these two companies. Different beans as well. Neither is better in my opinion. It is sort of like do you want your burger flame broiled or fried (McDonald's Vs. Burger King). Regarding Dunkin: Their Boston Creme should only be eaten or bought in Boston. I am not joking I lived there and have NEVER had the same donut anywhere else. Anonymous Coward User ID: 22717690 Canada 11/04/2012 10:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think what Tim Horton's does right, is the secret to their success. Doesn't matter what location, there is ALWAYS a line up. Obviously, just by passing a Tim Horton's, it's clear a lot of Canadians love the stuff. Once the coffee is brewed, they write a time on it. Then every 15 or so minutes, if it's not sold, it's dumped out. Guaranteed fresh coffee whether it's 7:00 am or 8:30 pm. That's it. Simple formula that works well for them. Most places will not dump it out. Starbucks coffee just task burnt to me. So, when you go to get your coffee and see a line up that will take 10 minutes, you wait. Why? Because you know 99% of the time the coffee will be perfect. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 26161363 Canada 11/04/2012 10:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | horny tims Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23367695 tim hortons sucks now compared to the 80's ..all their donuts are now tiny GMO shitballs. They used to prepare and bake their donuts right in the shop...nows it's all pre-made slop and shipped to them in pails. yuck. Ha, the donuts don't even come in pails as slop. They come 75% cooked and frozen. When I went to work there a few years ago, I remember being kinda excited to get to see inside the bakery, but when my hiring manager took me through the store on my first day, all I saw was a great big room with an oversized microwave in it and a rack with donuts on hooks. No mixer, no ovens, not fryers. Than he took me into the freezer. It's huge and there are over thirty open boxes in front of huge stacks of more boxes. In the boxes are frozen donuts in an unsealed thin plastic bag. These go in the microwave oven. I began to hate them around this time, but the truth is: they have a fairly consistent coffee that's easy to grab when your on the road, so they still get a fair amount of my business when I'm out. When I'm not out, the best thing I did was I picked up a used Bunn commercial coffee brewer, set the temperature to the actual ideal brew temperature (which can only be set on commercial units) to get that more mellow full bodied coffee and I always buy 18% Real Cream. Now I went from two to three cups of coffee a day at Tim's (which was making me broke) to two to three at home that is Guaranteed better than Tim's (because I consistently clean and calibrate the machine, unlike at Tim's where they forget to all the time, ruining the coffee and making me feel not too good about that two bucks I just spent). Went from spending $42-$56 a week at Tims to spending about $19 to drink better at home. |
