There are also changes from/due to, the manuscripts (not merely the translation of the manuscript). There are several examplse I could offer. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24103190 This is old news: A 12 year old girl traced every U.S. president in the history of America (except Martin Van Buren)back to the King of England John "Lackland" Plantagenet. He was the King that signed the Magna Carta in 1215. Guess what? Brad Pitt is related to these guys, too. Angelina is related to Hillary Clinton. The list goes on and on. They are all part of the bloodline. The big ones are placed into office and well planned out way ahead of time. Take a look at the illuminati cards that were printed back in the early 1990's. Very clearly the luciferian secret society clansmen have had their claws stirring the kettle for decades to mold us sheep the way they want us. Once you finally wake up, fall down the rabbit hole, and see that we are truly in a matrix like world, the world is not what you know it as, then perhaps you might come to place your only hope in Yeshua Jesus Christ our one and only true savior. If you want to dig in deeper than the links I have provided you, then welcome to reality my friends. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] She or someone here should check to see if Aaron Burr was related to John "Lackland" Plantagenet because he was the reputed father of Martin van Buren. |

When the Messiah Jesus came, he taught a new covenant. He changed the old laws and questioned the pharisees. For example, "An eye for an eye" was now taught that if one man has hit your right cheek that you should also offer him the other cheek instead of slapping him back. He taught that instead of stoning a person, one should forgive them and pitty and show mercy upon them and upon those that sin. the old ways of the old testiment were changed as Jesus paid the ultimate sacrafice for our sins. Perhaps if you open up your heart and mind and study the new testiment rather than quoting only from the old testiment, you might find your soul yearning to declare it truth. Sending you lots of love, genuinely, peace to you. |

He reigns and is the one and only Messiah. Again, this is not proof. This is something your pastor told you. Let's see these formulas and calculations. And see if there is credibility to them. ok, just posted some calcualtions, links |

Quoting: NightWisp Do you feel better venting your paranoia? Did it solve the worlds ills with this one proclamation? What is your point? Actually, I do feel better sharing on here. Most GLP people are seeking for truth, sharing things they come across. We desire to know and there are many different opinions and various statements. If perhaps just one person reads my post and has truth revealed to them or it helps him to go down a path that will serve him to find his way and make him more informed and I hope ultimately get his soul to heaven,....then I am quite pleased that I posted this thread. :) |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25140151 From a technical standpoint, you're correct - because you said, "what ever" (the bible says). This is because, with modern translations...there's deviation from the promise of (perfection)..."when holy men of God wrote/spake when moved by the Holy Spirit." There are also changes from/due to, the manuscripts (not merely the translation of the manuscript). There are several examplse I could offer. Given that very likely, none of us are in possession of either the original writing (in Hebrew or Greek), nor of a copy with perfection of the same...still, the overwhelming majority of what is in our modern (English trnaslated Bibles) is accurate. Further, I have no doubt, that somewhere in the underground stacks of a museum from years gone by, in the Middle East possibly, or even maybe in some dusty vault in an obscure, ravaged castle in Europe, there is/are perfected copies of the Word of God. Every year new "science" is catching up to the Word of Truth, with new discoveries. Praise God Yes I realize that the bible has been translated and translated, rewritten to leadership likings etc. But there is zero proof any of the "authors" of the bible were even telling the truth, its an account of someone who knew someone who knew someone who saw something, and that cannot add up to anything when we use our reason, leaving out emotions and "faith" which by definition is the belief in something without any proof. Sure, there might be a few things in there that we can find historical evidence for like a battle...but not proof that anything miraculous had ever happened. Which means these are stories, folklore. Oh...my friend, yes indeed. I'll suggest just one idea: Kindly take just a handful (your chosing) of prophesies in the OT, writen about the coming Messiah. Put mathematical probabilites on them...then multiply them, to be fulfilled by one man. It's mind numbing! (I realize you first have to confince yourself that these OT writings about the Messiah, were indeed written hundreds of years before the King of Kings showed up on the scene. But that exercise (in and of itself), is a great deal of the fun...and fun it will be for truthseekers.) Praise God Post up the formulas of the calculations, lets see this. This is something I have not seen. Lets see these calculations. And who came up with them, have they been verified by mathematicians? Not because I can't (indeed I surely can)...but because it will greatly benefit you (personally)...if you do this. It will enhance your own walk. But to give you a head start: Take just a handful from the OT and ask yourself, "what would be very conservative odds of one man fulfilling these three or four, or five or ten?" Such as...being born in Bethleham; being betrayed (for your life) for 30 pieces of silver; to be crucified with the wicked; to come into the city of Jerusalem as the king of the Jews riding on the back of a donkey; to have a forerunner fortold to annouce your ministry; to be of the lineage of David, the son of Abraham; to be called a Nazarene (where you grew up);to be called out of Egypt; to be given a star in the sky announcing your birth; to be called God's son; to take the infirmities of man; to be known the time of your birth; to give sight to the blind (even though this has been removed in our modern translations, from Isa 61:1, although quoted in Luke 4. If you look in the older manuscripts, ie the Septuagint...it's included!) This is only a start my friend. Continue. I'm hitting the hay. Blessings to you. Praise God |

This is pure speculation. Plus if he were to fulfill ALL of these....wouldnt these "calculations" compound? These calculations really do not make any sense to me. They are based upon heresay anyways, oh well its whatever, have your faith ill have my reason. We can go on forever like this. |

My spirit, deep within my soul, I know it to be true. I really truly do hope that you can be greatly blessed to find what I have found in Christ. I am at peace, no matter what happens to me in this life-I don't worry because I know that God has his hand on my life and all things that happen will be worked out for good for me. I want you to have this gift, too. Please consider praying and asking if God does exist and if Jesus was truly God in human form, then for God to give you some sort of proof. You obviously are they type of person that needs hard core miracle with your own first hand experience and not from hearsaay, so, I do hope and I did pray that you will have that undeniable experience so that God can use you in a mighty way to save the lost. What a testimony you will have! Gpd bless you. |
