Not arrogant, just psychology. There is a reason people do what they do, whether military or civilian.

Psycholgy is important, as one can examine why onself is the way they are, and possibly improve on that.

It also helps when dealing with others in day to day life, to understand why they act the way they do.

Don't take things so personally.

You came to this thread, put in a psychological snippet about "compensating", and you have the nerve to tell me not to take it personally?

No, I always found it interesting how folks get all emotional about the "birth" of the corps.

I can see getting emotional about a baby being born and such.

But not much with a military branch.
