Re: Obama: Americans voted for tax hikes on rich

I think.. that if Obama really did try to attack the rich and powerful with more taxes.. they will bite back..... hard...

The sad truth is.. they have already paid taxes on what they have. They do not have to invest anymore. They can live off what they have without ever paying another cent. To do that, they just shut the plants and no more jobs. No more taxes.
No more money in the government coffers. No more Obamaphones.

They can wait 4 more years without making anymore money. Can the average worker?

Lay-offs have begun. Work hours cut to less than 30.Less pay, less money, less taxes collected. Less money to eat on. So guys, whose taxes will rise?

For every government plan to take more money, is a smarter guy who can find a way of avoiding it.

What they will do as business owners....is what they already started to do....cut back on budgets to keep themselves afloat....and the biggest costs are always with labor.

Therefore....kiss a whole load of jobs BUH BYE.

This is a downward spiral that will continue through the rest of this decade.

Enjoy the economy you created Socialists.....it's going to get very ugly soon.

The pentagon put him in. There will be no getting rid of him now.

I have a small business. It was going ok. Until 4 years ago. The day Obama was sworn in, my business about died. It barely hung on. I could pay rent and taxes. That was about it. We lived on my husband's income.

It has limped on for 4 years. Barely able to breathe. It was like every small business was holding its breath until Obama would be gone. About 6 months ago, there was hope and a surge in business.

But I know, with what Obama has done in 3 days, I might as well close up. No one will be able to buy anything.
As it was, I was 1 of 3 business left in my complex that had been there. Established so to speak. The rest have come and gone, because they could not pay the rent. Taxes are killing the rest. There will be less and less customers with money to buy.

All I have done in 4 years is keep suppliers afloat, pay my rent and taxes. I think I took out 200 dollars. The rest I put back in stock. But I am tired of treading water for the government.

So. yes. I think I will shut down. I will discuss it with my partner. But , I am no longer working for the teat suckers.

As I see it. Blacks and Mexicans in their native environments live in mud huts and hovels. In America, they change existing infrastructure that whites built.... into hovels and shacks.

I like this guys take on it. From another thread...

The country is over, finished. Even the liberal "winners" know it. They killed the goose that laid the golden egg, and they don't want to hear about it. That's what all the "get over it" rhetoric is about. They know it's all over, when entitlements plus interest equals more than all federal tax revenue, and all they want to do is expand entitlements.

It was a good run, but too many people voted bennies for themselves. The liberals feel it in their bones, they just can't admit it openly. To admit it openly is to admit everything they stood for all their lives (free shit for all democrap voters) was a fairy tale that could not go on forever. So ultimately their lives were meaningless.

So here we are at then end, pointing fingers at each other. And we, the producers, have earned our right to bitch and rub it in their faces. Liberals, you won the worn out hollow shell of a country.

He can live off renewals for the rest of his life and can shut the doors only leaving an accounting dept. The fact that private health insurance is imploding and the hassles with taxation, regulation and Obamacare it's not profitable or worth the hassle. Laid off in August. For the chairman and chief executive of Murray Energy, an Ohio-based coal company, the reelection of President Obama was no cause for celebration. It was a time for prayer – and layoffs.

Robert E. Murray read a prayer to a group of company staff members on the day after the election, lamenting the direction of the country and asking: “Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corp. for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build.”

On Wednesday, Murray also laid off 54 people at American Coal, one of his subsidiary companies, and 102 at Utah American Energy, blaming a “war on coal” by the administration of President Barack Obama.”

Murray Energy is the country’s largest privately owned coal mining company, with about 3,000 employees producing about 30 million tons of bituminous coal a year, according to its Web site.

-------------

Dear Lord:

The American people have made their choice. They have decided that America must change its course, away from the principals of our Founders. And, away from the idea of individual freedom and individual responsibility. Away from capitalism, economic responsibility, and personal acceptance.

We are a Country in favor of redistribution, national weakness and reduced standard of living and lower and lower levels of personal freedom.

My regret, Lord, is that our young people, including those in my own family, never will know what America was like or might have been. They will pay the price in their reduced standard of living and, most especially, reduced freedom.

The takers outvoted the producers. In response to this, I have turned to my Bible and in II Peter, Chapter 1, verses 4-9 it says, “To faith we are to add goodness; to goodness, knowledge; to knowledge, self control; to self control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness, kindness; to brotherly kindness, love.”

Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corp. for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build. We ask for your guidance in this drastic time with the drastic decisions that will be made to have any hope of our survival as an American business enterprise.

Amen.

Utah company blames Pres. Obama for 102 workers laid off

Date: Friday, 9-Nov-2012 14:41:54

The layoffs at the West Ridge Mine are effective immediately, according to Utah American Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Murray Energy Corp. They were announced in a short statement made public Thursday, two days after Obama won re-election.

The layoffs are necessary because of the president's "war on coal," the statement said. The slogan is one used frequently during the election by Murray Energy CEO Robert Murray, who was an ardent supporter of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

In its statement, UtahAmerican Energy blames the Obama administration for instituting policies that will close down "204 American coal-fired power plants by 2014" and for drastically reducing the market for coal.
In its statement, UtahAmerican Energy blames the Obama administration for instituting policies that will close down "204 American coal-fired power plants by 2014."

"There is nowhere to sell our coal, and when we can, the market prices are far lower," the statement said. "Without markets, there can be no coal mines and no coal jobs."

Coal demand from U.S. power generation companies is down 17 percent this year, according to the federal Energy Information Administration's most recent figures. That's due in large part to low market prices for natural gas, and has the EIA forecasting the lowest coal consumption in at least two decades by the nation's electricity industry.

The stock market posted it's biggest lose of the year the day after the election.

My father, who has been in business for 37 years, said that if obama was re-elected he was going to close. E-mails went out to all 47 of his employees yesterday telling them as of January first... the business would be liquidated and closed.

And, quite honsetly, if I was in the position to fire some people... I'd do it in a heart beat if they were obama supporters.

I have never felt so much contempt for any one group of people in my life. I truly hope they suffer.
