Like I said its really old. He found it at our local marina. They get bored of sitting on the boat. Wife cleaned it up with some kit she has and I googled how to tell if its real. There's engravings on the band for gold and something else. The diamond doesn't fog. It passed the tests. Gonna take it to a trusted source for an appraisal and then get a second opinion. |

The green tarnish could be salt corrosion of the nickel in the white gold. It's white gold right? Have a look for the engraving, it might not be as old as you think. Better if it doesn't have the number because it would be registered to its owner & you require paperwork to sell it on. If it's genuine & un-numbered, you shouldn't have any hassle selling it. Ask your local jeweler for advice. Lucky, lucky guy! [link to www.gnjlaser.com] |

The thing must be 15 or 20 years old. It was caked in green tarnish about as hard as concrete. Man was he proud finding that. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16764653 Just yesterday he had piled up some rocks and said he was finding crystals for mommy and that he already had a million dollars worth. Kind of a premonition maybe. Anyway at a glance I figure this stone is worth about $15,000. Maybe more if the clarity is good. Kid just paid for his first semester of college. sounds like the start of a Stephen King Novel |

When it is a good one he is registerd and impossible to sale on the legal Way! You can use also some Mafia Channels but for Diamonds the Street Price is very low, 1/10- 3/10 G.Y.!B.E. |

It's a big tourist destination in Florida. I doubt any locals would keep their boat at this place. Finding the original owner of this ring I think would be futile. |

I found an iPhone a couple months back and got it to the guys girlfriend. She instantly started snooping through his files. Haha. |

Construction turned the thing over. But it's a nice big stone. Bigger than my wife's. The ring was tarnished and it looks like that crept up on to the rock. The thing has been next to salt water for god knows how long. |
