Last night Army division commanders have received directives from the Joint Chiefs to not follow any direct orders from outside the normal military chain of command. If the president called the commander of the 82nd airborne and gave him a direct order to mobilize, that would not be the normal chain of command. |

I THINK what the author here intended to imply was that we have a boatload of retired, trustworthy, credible, loyal officers (and several leaving service, voluntarily and involuntarily) who still command enough respect and fidelity to create a real problem for a tyrannical government. |

Basically, the US Military is taking steps to avoid corruption to take the white house. There are MANY in high ranks who love this land and the people far more then their political leadership. That is a clue, ...... |

Around 9:30 this morning a loud engine roar was heard. Everyone in my house thought it was a commercial plane crashing in my town of Hermitage, TN...located 10 miles East of Nashville, TN. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1643029 My brother-in-law lives around the corner in the same neighborhood and he happened to be standing outside while this took place. He said he first saw one traveling eastward, then another behind it, then another and another for a total of 15. Then, suddenly five more blazed behind them in a stacked formation. He said these five were all engaging their afterburners which is what caused the loud noise and were flying so low he could see the glass enclosures on top. Once the five joined up with the other 15, they all took a hard turn to the left and headed north. He also said that they were fully loaded (he knows his planes). Then he saw two other planes follow behind them that looked like re-fueling planes. We are thinking they came out of Nashville airport (BNA) but not sure. Just to add, in the last hour after this happened, I have been hearing an unusual amount of commercial jets taking off. Any ideas of what may be taking place as these planes seemed to be in a big hurry and this activity is definitely NOT normal in this area. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2439543 United States 11/13/2012 06:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The only time afterburners have been used recently over the continental USA was during 9/11. If the planes were using their after burners it is highly unlikely they would have been seen even if they were flying low enough. I dont doubt you saw planes but it is highly unlikely after burners were used in formation at such a low altitiude. Lets not forget Obamer is not a fan of the military and using after burners at low level over populated areas is not typical unless a state of emergency. |
~JustMe~ User ID: 18606339 United States 11/13/2012 06:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was in Hermitage today and heard the jet. Sounded like just one. I thought it was a passenger plane coming in for a landing at BNA but the roaring just kept going. I saw nothing because of trees and was working and couldn't stop to run and look for them. I'm not saying what OP said isn't true, I just heard what sounded like one and I've been around them many times in the past. Still, I could be wrong in the numbers.. BNA does have a Air National Guard Base. I will post info below. This pass weekend I heard an unusual amount of roaring from planes either coming or going from BNA. I am in one of there flight paths but I've been here for 9+ years and this is not the norm. I will personal pin this thread and update it if I hear something weird.. ---------------------------------------------------------- 118th Airlift Wing The 118th Airlift Wing (118 AW) is a unit of the Tennessee Air National Guard, stationed at Berry Field Air National Guard Base, Nashville, Tennessee. If activated to federal service, it is gained by the United States Air Force Air Mobility Command. The 105th Tactical Airlift Squadron, assigned to the Wings 118th Operations Group, is a descendant organization of the World War I 105th Aero Squadron, established on 27 August 1917. It was reformed on 4 December 1921, as the 105th Observation Squadron, and is one of the 29 original National Guard Observation Squadrons of the United States Army National Guard formed before World War II. more - [link to en.wikipedia.org] -------------------------------------------- Berry Field Air National Guard Base (ANGB) is located on the premises of Nashville International Airport. Since 1937 it has hosted the 118th Airlift Wing (AW). Berry Field faced the removal of its flying mission with the BRAC 2005 recommendation to realign its assets to other units. It averted this fate by taking on a new role as the C-130 International Training Center.[34] Approximately 1,500 personnel are assigned to both HQ, Tennessee Air National Guard and to the 118 AW at Berry ANGB. Approximately 400 are full-time Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) and Air Reserve Technician (ART) personnel, augmented by approximately 1100 traditional part-time air guardsmen. Approximately 100 additional foreign military personnel are also temporarily assigned to the 118 AW at any one time for training in the C-130E or C-130H aircraft.[34] Last Edited by =EkIm= on 11/13/2012 06:21 PM |
