No doubt! The first thing I thought was explosion. I was amazed with it shaking our house that hard with the boom & that far away. It felt as if it was a mile away or closer.

In October 2000, LSB Industries acquired the Cherokee, Alabama site from LaRoche Industries. The Cherokee, Alabama facility is named Cherokee Nitrogen and manufactures ammonia (commercial and refrigeration grades), nitric acid, high-density ammonium nitrate solution and prill, urea, urea-ammonium nitrate solution, specialty ammonia-ammonium nitrate solutions and gaseous carbon dioxide.

That seems like a rather explosive group of concoctions for a "fertilizer" plant.

Every couple of miles on this long stretch of road in the boonies you would see a cross or two or three made out of tobacco curing sticks stuck along the side of the road. WEIRD! I tried to ask a girl at a convenience store about them but she wasn't to forthcoming about it. I was just glad i had brought my 357 with me. Spooky!

it's a nitration plant. nitration is a dangerous process. explosions tend to happen at nitration plants. nitric acid is made by reacting sulphuric acid with saltpeter. sulfuric and nitric acid combined will nitrate just about any organic compound to an explosive of some kind, even the cotton in clothing (the result of that reaction is the main component in smokeless powder, fyi). the fact that it happens fairly often is confirmed by everybody finding old links of similar explosions. no drones. no islamic strike. no commies from mars. just plain old runaway nitration. that's why nobel had to move his dynamite plant to a barge in the middle of a lake, the government got tired of towns being blown up.

As the drums for war in Syria rattle and throb, maybe , just maybe the forces that actually declared that they would not allow an invasion are doing just that. Exploding things in the u.s. homeland on an escalating level to just bring to light how serious they are.
There has never been a war in the us. - apart from the civil.
Something has to stop the warring and it is futile once they start with the shock and awe bombing of cities, this time they might just think a better option to start blowing up the us.
How many explosions have there been now.
And how many are close to a military base ?
I wish Harmony, Love, Truth and Justice for all my brothers and sisters. With the United forces of the silent vibrations of our thoughts, we are strong, healthy and happy thus making a link of universal fraternity..

What is the mystery. Over the years there are vehicle accidents and people put up crosses to mark the spot where their loved ones died. We have them here also. About 20 or so just on one strech of highway 30 minutes to the city from our town. They are made of lots of different things. I guess tabacco sticks are the crosses of choice in the area. During the winter snow gets thrown on them and I just bet some get put back up in the spring. They come and go.

Special Report: Could New Madrid “Big One” Shake Alabama?
[link to whnt.com]
And the New Madrid special report was updated at 11:11 p.m. origina;;y posted at 10:10 pm
 Quoting: curiousleo74

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.(WHNT)-When it comes to earthquakes, the “big one” could be coming soon, and we’re not talking about California or some place overseas.
Many people don’t realize that north Alabama lies in the impact zone of the New Madrid fault line, a sleeping giant that is approximately twenty times larger than California’s famed San Andreas fault. The biggest earthquake in U.S. history happened in the New Madrid seismic zone in 1812, and in just the last few weeks, activity along the fault line is starting to heat up. An earthquake centered in eastern Arkansas rattled residents in multiple states in late October, making the quake the largest in the NMSZ in several years.

A recent earthquake study conducted by FEMA rated 12 Alabama counties as code critical, with those in northwest Alabama at highest risk of a New Madrid event. Geologists and other earthquake experts assessed the potential impact on Alabama in a WHNT News 19 special report produced by reporter Nick Banaszak.
“I think most people are aware that earthquakes can occur here, but they just can’t remember the last time one shook them,” said Gary Patterson, a geologist with the Center for Earthquake Research and Information in Memphis. “You take the same magnitude earthquake, put one in California, one here. The one here is going to effect ten to twenty times larger an area. That’s incredible…We know that the earthquakes of 1811, 1812 were felt 1,000 to 1,200 miles away.”

The 1812 quake was actually the third and final act in a trilogy of megaquakes. The final earthquake had its epicenter in New Madrid, Missouri, a tiny town along the Mississippi River that inspired the name for the notorious fault line. Accounts of the 1812 quake vary since there were no measuring instruments at the time, but most geologists say evidence shows it was at least a magnitude 8 earthquake, and possibly a 9 or higher. The shaking was so intense that church bells started ringing as far away as Boston and New York. Chimneys toppled from the Deep South to Canada, and President James Madison was awoken by the violent shaking as he slept in the White House. Eyewitnesses said it even caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards for a time.
‘We know that in 1811, 1812, there was some damage in tall buildings and structures in Charleston, South Carolina, and that’s certainly farther away [from the epicenter] than Alabama,” said Patterson. “Earthquake energy spreads out very efficiently here.”

I didn't read this whole topic, but I saw a lot of the one the other night about the explosion in Indy. Idk what conspiracy you guys are saying from this. But just wanted to say where I live a whole neighborhood blew up from a chemical plant explosion in 2006 just before thanksgiving. And it rattled homes up to 45 miles away. Some homes came off their foundations, windows shattered and other stuff. It woke me up and I thought it was a plane crash. So just saying explosions happen all over the place happen no matter what kind it is. 90 homes and a few businesses were damaged.
