When I had toxic overload I was one giant migraine. Everything would trigger it.

I still get the damn things now and then.

Both my photographer and I started getting dizzy; we were down in the basement for just a few minutes.

I've never had a migraine, but I know with the flu when my head hurts and I cough it is freaking miserable. I couldn't imagine coughing with a migraine...

All of our (VA) waterways were closed due to contamination (no shellfishing) high levels of coliphage from sandy were found.

I was looking for this. Knew somebody would bring it up. Has to be plum island. Thats the only reasonable explanation right? Wait a minute.... Maybe, and this is just a guess, maybe living in an area hit by a hurricane when it is 30 degrees outside with no power in the middle of flu season is the cause. Nope, that can't be it at all. Nevermind, forget i brought it up.

It's mold

Mold mimics cancer, and all kinds of illnesses. All that dampness and all those spores in the air. Many places that held it are now exposed and aired out to where people are inhaling it. I live in Florida. It's common and we recognize it. Even A/C units and ducts have them. It's always best to take out everything wet and rebuild or replace. That is part of the disaster and cost. Doctor's are reluctant to check for this because it's everywhere and insurance would go bust! Even in the winter... we stay indoors more and eat lots of sweets and junk. Fungus and mold loves sweet and junk in our blood. Check out the web sights. The truth of this problem is just getting out and the medical industry will not open this can of worms but the non-insurance medical side will! I was sick with this problem and I got all kinds of illness. I refused the chemical stuff in my blood. I did not refuse the steroids in my eyes and I ended up with cateract surgery. After replacing the whole a/c unit and duct work and checking for leaks in the house and eating better (no sweets as I could) I did not have muscle aches or ashma anymore. My heart palpitations even improved. Look out for any medical system. It's not preventative but a great money maker and slavery track! You are so trapped with covering so many illness from the original and the meds that you can not even think anymore!

Well the storm did wash over Plum Island...

Count me in on that. I had the worst bronchitis of my life after the hurricane. I coughed so hard people around me thought I was breaking ribs.

This may sound weird but I noticed the rain Sandy dumped wasn't just water. On my car there was a film of sorts--like it was water and something else. Was hard to wash off. And as the rain came down, I watched this film recoated my car and I can tell you it wasn't the usual rain you get in a normal storm.
