Anybody else seeing more stars in the sky?

Since Sandy hit, I have been seeing the night sky more intensely, like a layer of fog has been lifted...

I always have dreams where the sky is doing some weird things. Almost eery. The night sky is always the main focus.

Black plastic wrap over petri dish.....mad scientist poke holes in it with a needle..........all you see is warming lab lights........relax.......blue petri dish with tag "earth"....is soon to be decontaminated in autoclave. (After culture collected for further research)

That's weird, whenever its clear with no moon I'm out in the backyard with my telescope, checking out the sky. It has a calming and peaceful effect on me...

If you look with a wide eye, right now at about 2am-3am MTN time, for just a few minutes you will see a pattern, and it's a total mindfuck. I'm not talking about a few stars in a shape, I'm talking about the whole goddamn sky of planets and stars becomes a synchronous uniform pattern. If you see it, you can reply with what that pattern is, it doesn't seem to change.

It was about midnight, a week ago, it is of the whole celestial movement.

Most likely less light pollution. Sandy took out a lot of street lights and a decent chunk of the electric grid, thus there is less light pollution and you see more stars.

when I was a kid living back on the farm one could see the whole milky way and millions of stars. Today in the Central Valley California I barely see the milky way and see far, far fewer stars due to all of the lights from nearby towns and cities.

It looks like they are better visible and very bright and near! It looks strange my brother and cousin also said that i should look up the sky it looks beautifull

They're not all stars. Most of the supposed "stars" you see are planets with intelligent life.

Another thing I forgot to mention. The scientists who are hired to work @ Nasa and other places like that. They're what you call "lookers" not finders. They are allowed to look, but not report any findings. This is just a fail safe to how humans are in life. Sooner or later humanity will get a much needed upgrade, so they went go all nutzo finding out the truth.

Southeastern Indiana here, and yes I am seeing more stars. I totally agree with you, something is definately different up there. Its good to know that I am not the only one feeling and seeing this.

Just had the same thought last night... I'm in the NE and the circumstances of this area usually block out most of the night sky... Been seeing a boat load of stars in the sky lately and this area is not usually conducive to such sights. I would guess the hurricane is responsible for this.
