From what I can see, Obama and some Europeans (Cameron, Sarkozy, etc.) put in some radicals to governments there, and they want to flip more countries to radicals.

So stopping this "problem" would be fairly easy still if the West would just stop supporting the radicals. I believe it's not too late to let the air out of this escalation.

Last I knew, Turkey was the strongest military force in the region being equipped with NATO tech (being a member of NATO) and likely improving upon that technology for their more localized needs.

Maybe the foreign troops are to show that NATO still takes care of NATO.. kinda like a fat kid throwing his weight around?
