The local news here is promoting the hell out of the Angel Tree thing today. They keep going to a shot of the tree and it's covered with tags. Occasionally they focus in on the tags and I've noticed near all the names are Hispanic. I see an occasional AA name like Jamal or Shantel, but the majority have been Meheecan.

The amount of food that is thrown away into the garbage on a daily basis just in the USA alone is mind boggling.

It would be enough to feed every single hungry person in this country if it were saved and donated.

Many grocery stores do not donate perishable goods because they are afraid of lawsuits, so it all goes in the trash each day.
