My second question is this: why is there so much superstition involved with the name/philosophy "lucifer"? What does it mean when lucifer bears the "false" light? Doesn't that mean even if lucifer is 99% illuminated, he's still ignorant?

I understand the philosphy of moving away from animalistic proclivities and towards "higher", more divine self is considered to be "luciferic" and therefore "evil" by some. I don't understand why this is the case... "God" gave us a brain to think, to advance, to be "good" and conquer challenges, to create harmony.
