This was not some kid on youtube posting some random crap. These are legit news stations that went out and covered what's going on.

Here are some direct quotes from the links already given:

Just for a few examples.
Emergency management Agency's, Sheriff departments etc all responded.. some even said they got hundreds of calls at once!
Even Yavapai County Sheriffs themselves said they HEARD THE BOOMS!
Do you think even Sheriffs are lying when they said to the news they heard the booms???
That entire cities all made this up together and all called the police with the same story!?!

I'm in West Virginia. Just before Thanksgiving, I heard a boom off in the distance, it was large enough that I was sure it was an explosion, but none were reported. I just now looked at a map of the North American Craton and the line goes right through where I thought the boom could have come from.

There have been loud boom sounds going on for at least a week here in Oceanside, California....day and night. It sounds like a very loud thunder, but muffled as if coming from the ground.

Dec 7th.. Michigan

OK so it is weird. I posted couple days ago about the noise in Verde Valley AZ. Heard it tonight around 10pm or so. It was like a low flying airplane but deeper sound and hard to describe really. It lasted maybe 2 minutes and I had to stop and listen if it was maybe a plane. But no...it stopped abruptly. A jet would have faded but the sound stayed the same loudness then just quit.

Thanks for linking to my post about the loud boom. There was a small update on this today. I have now confirmed this was heard in at least 3 counties. No one has come up with what it was or what caused it.

Augusta, GA Dec 12th
"There has been more reported mystery booms reported in the CSRA.
Columbia County Emergency Management Agency director Pam Tucker tells WJBF News Channel 6, there have been widespread reports of the booms during the last 24 hours. Tucker describes the reports as booms which sound like "explosions or thunder."

Last night my husband and I were getting ready for bed it was around 10PM and we heard a loud BOOM noise and then the whole house shook for a few seconds. I looked out side and you could see stars on one half of the sky and the other half was black but no thunder lightning storm I could see, also where we live is back tucked away in a valley of a small town so no construction or city noises here. Very confused what it could have been? I see others have mentioned this same experience but in other states, could it all be related?[/liveleak]
