Congratulations. Pagan is not an evil word. It means ' of the country folk'. They lived at distance to each other, and because of the seasons and the time of year for harvest, and the time it took to create gifts, and travel by foot or mule to see family and friends, Christmas comes at that time of year. No doubt, many cultures have reasons to honor some person who taught them agriculture, or whatever, and this date is worldwide for some reason, long before Jesus, but that shouldn't bother you if your are human. Pagan is not a dirty word. It is an honorable word of honorable people. Had those pagans ( people living in the countryside ) not lived their lives as they did, you wouldn't be here. There would have been no food to keep you alive. |
