Should we build a monument to the Bill of Rights?
I like this idea:

www.nukingpolitics.com/2012/12/into-light.html

Excerpts:

"I’m also willing to predict that Liberals will have much the same reaction to sunlight filtered through the Bill of Rights as vampires do to unfiltered sunlight so, you know, 'win-win'."

"...for the bulk of every morning the only sunlight to fall upon the Capitol will be that which shines through the Bill of Rights."

Talk about monolithic!

Looks like the monolith from "2001 A Space Odyssey". That just might work.

Yeah build a monument so after the Obama administration has it's way with America your children's children will be able to see what rights America had before the "change"

LOVE this idea! Can't decide whether I like portrait or landscape, though.

A very creative and clever idea. Something the installed government would not approve of.

While we're at it how about a monument showing the amendments and the declaration of independence?

Are you kidding? TPTB are too busy planning to put Obama's face on Mt. Rushmore and the new one dollar coin that will come out in a couple of years. (heavy dose of sarcasm)

However, I feel that a monumnet to the Declaration and Constitution would be a good thing.

Seems like the Ron Paul group could easily spearhead this.

Yes, great idea! But they won't, because elements within government are currently trying to diminish those rights.

And here I'm thinking the Bible expressly forbids putting God/Jesus on a monument. Not in name, of course, but I mean "Mt. Rushmore"-style.

I see that imao.us picked their post up:

[link to www.imao.us]

That's cool. And over at the "Into the Light" post itself, I like their plan of having stone contributed by all the states. Too bad this will never get built - the idea of the morning light shining through the Bill of Rights really appeals to me (which is why I'm passing this on).
