Please, tell me a way to stop coughing!! Is there anything natural i can make in the kitchen???

is it a goopy phlegmy cough?
or a dry cough like a tickle?

go to an herb store, buy elderberries, then search for the recipe online to make elderberry syrup, just contains honey and a few little things like that. Then start taking 2 tablespoons a day until it is gone.

Elderberries helps the cough but is also a powerful antibiotic for any infection you may have going on.

I keep lil packs of instant apple cider

I just warm up some water with at least a tablespoon of honey and mix in the cider... works like a charm...

If I dont have the cider... I use tea.. any kind will work...
if you dont have tea you can use coffee...
if you dont have coffee... just use hot water lol


word of warning though... for some people... hot liquid and tea works as a laxative...

doesnt on me... I usually do two tablespoons of honey...

but 1 tablespoon works well too

It wont work too much on bad respiratory infections or severe colds or pneumonia

But it works on your average case... pretty damn good

Squeeze some lemon juice in a glass (or jug)

Add some honey.

Add a tiny amount of cinnamon.

Boil some water and pour it in. Mix the whole thing up, and let it cool. If your throat hurts, breathe in the steam.

Once it's cooled enough, sip it slowly.

I was given a prescription for Tussionex but its $75 dollars and i'm not filling it.

TAKE a 1/4 cup of honey a bit of water and some lemon and warm it up in microwave until it gets warm not too hot and it will ease your cough .

If it's constantly happening, check with your Doctor if you have "post nasal drip"... Typically you can tell if you do cause you can't breathe properly out of one nostril. Post nasal drip causes sinus stuff will dry your throat out. I had a ton of issues until I got that diagnosis. It was brutal how much I coughed at 18-25 yr old. I'd cough so much,I would cause bleeding in my throat making a constant tickle by blood dripping down.... It sux...

Asprin finely crushed up mixed with an ounce of hot water and table spoon of honey works too.

Ever since I was small and I'm 50 now there is somthing that was used by my family for generations and its simple.

You can get it at the grocery store.

Yellow dry mustard. Get your self a can of it. Bring it home. Get some hot water and a towel like a tea towel.

You mix about 2 heaping tablespoons with 6 tablespoons flour. then add hot water to make a paste. Not to thick but not to slimmy either. Consistancy of pancake batter.

Pour it on to the tea towel in the center. Then fold the towel like an envelope.

Lay down all comfy and place it on your chest. Cover yourself up with a warm blanket.

The heat created by the mustard with it placed on your chest is like a poltice. leave it on for about 20 minutes. It will feel a little pickly but oh well. You can place another thin towel under the plaster also but don't make it to thick as to not penetrate your skin because you need the moisture from it as well to work. It will make your skin a little pink or red as well but oh well that goes away.

I swear Mustard Plasters work at drawing out a yukky couch and crap. Loosen up your chest so you can breath. I swear by them. The whole family swears by them. Mom used them on us and we use them on our kids and they will use them on their kids.

Marshmellows are by the far the best thing for a cough. they are far superior to cough drops. I know it sounds crazy but they work.

1 dried fig cut in half,allow to rest in a small cup of extra virgin olive oil. Let sit for a few hours.(preferably overnight)

Apple cider vinegar works well and kills germs also. Apple cider vinegar with a few grains of salt works even better. Just search for the studies done on using it. Something common that works the same is eating dill pickles. The juice can also be sipped, a little is all you need. Your body makes mucus to fight off viruses. After the mucus does it's thing the cough is triggered to bring it up and it is now called phlegm. The color of the phlegm can indicate if the fight is with a virus or with bacterial infection. Only dry nonproductive coughs should be completely shut down.

chew a clove of garlic for healing the cough and sore throat, it is not as bad as it sounds and helps right away

hot toddy is nice, whiskey lemon juice and honey, makes you feel beter and forget your cough

A hot bath helps especialy with a hot toddy

Do you know anybody who grows, they will usually let you have stems for free. Boil them up, strain, add some milk.
