Its good to see you're letting people know how to naturally feel good as well as live a healthier life. For the past several years my mum's diet has consisted of only these ingredients as well as boiled chicken. She is 45 but she looks 25. Her Doctors physical also put her in her 20's. She also goes to the gym at least 5 times a week so that would play it's part also I would assume. Before her move to these foods though, being from Fiji, a main food eaten would be curry (which incorporated garlic, chilli, onion). She has been sick once in the last 10 years. We (my family) always would talk about how all the garlic and chilli my mum consumed over her life must have boosted her immune system. I ate curry growing up and loved it, would add garlic to pretty much all my cooking. But i got sick just as much as anyone else. Then again i was more exposed (school children). I also ate alot of bad stuff like all kids growing up. But the things that are bad for you always taste the best ;) I haven't been sick for a while these days. I haven't been to the doctor in over 3 years so nothing serious and if anything i only get the odd flu. Still love my onion and garlic, but i don't eat curry anymore (would if i had the recipes). In regards to the lemons i saw a post a while back some guy had a dream and his recently deceased grandfather who died of cancer gave him a pitcher of water filled with lemons and told him to drink it and he won't get cancer. Other GLPers came in with there links and knowledge about how it is actually a super fruit! 5* OP |

Ok, all joking aside, I can attest to the power of lemons and limes. I've been eating an overall paleo/slow carb diet and have lost fat and felt much better. The fat loss was a slow but steady thing but I made one move that has really sped things up lately. See, I eat pretty strict and haven't allowed myself room for anything sweet tasting. One day I decided to pick up some limes and raw stevia, that evening I went home, juiced the limes and made a gallon of delicious limeade. It was so nice to have something to cure my sweet cravings plus get some more vitamins. What I didn't expect was the sudden drop in fat I've experienced. This is without any change in exercise either. It's the only variable that changed whatsoever so unless there was something else that happened, then the power those limes are having is quite astounding. So basically, I can agree to this list and I especially agree with the lemons/lime approach. The alkalizing effect is real and the energy does go up surprisingly well. |

I am in agreement with both of you though as fruit is most appealing and easy and not needing artificial means of procurement and preparation [which all effect energy, they why of eating] yet .....and I acknowledge that the forests produce more fruit and they have been largely decimated, but as a wild food enthusiast [non cultivated eaters, like every other animal], vegetables [herb leaf] and tubers seem the most plentiful food source available to us. And the grasses. Which I have no problem digesting. [link to rawschool.com] Let the debate continue in the spirit of improvement and efficiency :) |

I especially love garlic as those near and dear to me can tell you LOL. ..."The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The content of your character is your choice. Saw a 92 year old guy today who was a gym junkie and he looked pretty good. Said nothing about him being a vego/vegan. Some people can smoke/drink heavy and live to be 90. There is no magic solution for everyone. maybe not magic but removing all fast food, high fructose corn syrup and highly processed foods from your diet makes you feel a lot fucking better every day of your life. quality of life is what matters. |
