I need some help about this pregnancy scare | |
KungPowMeowMeow User ID: 27358318 United States 12/10/2012 12:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | just tell her to take a morning after pill or a 486 pill.. i heard women can buy some at the local abortion clinic Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21177805 You have to take the morning after pill...the morning after. It is equivalent to taking 4 birth control pills at once to stop her from releasing an egg, and if she has it will keep the fertilized egg from implanting. But it has to be done within the first 72 hour after the sex. It wouldn't do her any good by now. The other option actually causes your body to reject the implanted egg or fetus instead of just blocking the release of the egg or implantation so it can be more dangerous to your body-and it is considered an abortion (for those concerned for religious or moral purposes). There is also a difference in price; plan B is around $50 and the abortion pill is around $300. Condoms are around $1. And she could get on the pill if you think this lapse in judgement may happen again. I think every young person has to go through the pregnancy scare thing. These feelings will stick with you (hopefully) for many years to come and will cause you to be more responsible (again, hopefully). Just always think about how terrified and worried you are at this very moment the next time you consider not wearing a condom. 2 minutes of bliss isn't worth a month of worrying yourself sick. Except it was the third day of her period apparently. And what happened with that whole thing? He now has a one year old kid. Quoting: Rockarchy My advice is to go buy a pregnancy test and find out immediately. maybe it was ovulation spotting or she has very short cycles? Idk, it seems really impossible to have an egg around those days Eggs can be released at anytime, its not an exact kind of process. It all depends on hormone fluctuations in her body. Plus I read an article about a hormone in men's saliva that can trigger a woman to release an egg at any time of the month. I'll look for a link.. This is something I think both male and female should have on hand for those "just in case" moments. It's not hard to get, Planned Parenthood should be somewhere close by and I think it should be over the counter at all drug stores. CynthiaTakeFive User ID: 20874717 United States 12/10/2012 12:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's entirely possible for a woman to get pregnant on her period. Ovulation can happen early or be delayed. Just wait and see, but honestly if she's pregnant it's just bad luck. It happens, but not very often. Why didnt you get her a Plan B pill? Quoting: CynthiaTakeFive wouldn't pregnancy symptoms show now? no spotting, no breast tenderness, she's feels pretty normal right now Maybe, maybe not. Everyone is different. I'm pregnant right now & Disney really have symptoms until 7 weeks. |

Her 31 day cycles first of all make it horribly unlikely. Second, even if she ovulated that early as a fluke, that would be a very hostile environment for sperm. So many conditions have to be right. Strange things do happen, but I believe e vast majority of stories you hear are just that,..stories made up so the person doesn't look stupid. Ad she wouldn't likely have symptoms yet. Some people have incredibly early symptoms, but not most. And implantation spotting doesn't haopen for everyone. |

And you're welcome. I know more about this subject than I care to. It actually averages 6 months for a healthy couple with perfect timing to become pregnant. If more people knew how perfect the conditions needed to be they would realize what a miracle every child is. I don't say that as an excuse for people to be careless (I don't even believe people should be having pre-marital sex anyway!), but just as a scientific fact. It sounds like you will stand up and take responsibility no matter the outcome, which I commend. Now think twice next time. ;) |
