With those two areas being active my attention gets pulled to the spot in between them, the spot that hasn't had a good release of Energy in far to long. The spot that's been kicking off baby quakes in odd locations for at least the last year & that has a pretty consistent track record for popping off monsters every couple of hundred years. The megathrust producing Cascadia Subduction Zone. When she goes it's going to be in a big way.

It's ok you don't consider yourself as "an expert" - I suppose that would apply to most if not all of the people involved. However, it's the definition of an expert that needs fine-tuning. For many, it means "someone with formal education". For me the term means something else; generally people with wits and sensitivity to any particular area.

Are they the same ones who leap on other mistakes. For instance, someone talks about earthquakes in California, and then accidentally says east coast instead of west coast?

Plus other new developments: quakes in the California are creeping further north, Alaska has had three quakes in areas that have been quiet for a while, and so on.

Nothing quite as clear as the changes ~24 hours before the California 6+ quake(s), but again, this too doesn't look "familiar" to me at all. The patterns are changing.

My scope of view spans only about 6 months though, started this daily watching in the summer.

The BIG one they are calling for is a mag 7-8....not the prophetic 10. and yes it's better that pressure is being released on a daily basis. With that being said...a mag 8 on the Hayward fault would mess some stuff up and have a high loss of life. The lack of shaking in the areas Hollister( once the geologists speculated spot for the event ) southward is now attributed to graphite deposits that allow the movement without the friction.

So you can expect to statistically quantify data in a six month period of a area that has been active for millions of years....any mathematicians out there want to take a stab at the percentage...lmao

No, I have specifically said I don't have actual "data".

There are other ways to look at things than statistics and mathematics, you know. The best option is to use all different methods together, meaning those with skills and interest in statistics can take care of that, while others (such as me) use whatever they have to form their opinions. Finally, when all this is put together, a more comprehensive picture can be formed.

So how can you say the activity is not normal? from looking a usgs site or other map? only six months? what IS your method then? you realize what six months represents in geological time?

It's not "normal" in the ~ 6 month context, as I've made clear.

I'm well aware of the geological time scales.

Let me put it this way: if you would see an asteroid coming directly at you, would you believe what you're seeing, or would you tell yourself it's not possible it's an asteroid since none of those have hit earth for this-or-that amount of time?

This world isn't all about statistics and probabilities. You can't predict future based on history, since the world we live in isn't static. Even the main stream scientists have noted there's something different now with EQs and tectonic activity.

What I'm doing here is trying to locate signs of something happening.

As it seems, at least this time my "educated hunch" turned out to have at least some substance to it. Note the subject of this thread combined with the time I posted it combined with a 6+ quake not seen around California for some time. Perhaps just a co-incidence, but I still find it funny having to explain myself to you here.

My method is that of using the capabilities provided by the less typical combination of ADD ("adhd without the hyperactivity") and Asperger's I've been blessed with, to understand all sorts of large systems and patterns with natural clarity. I may not know each and every detail, but can see how things interact and definitely see when there's a change in those patterns.
