That Quebecer was maybe a pound from being "what's for dinner" back at the nest with the chicks. Quoting: Woot Woot Holy shit! Who would have thought that fat kids are an evolved sub species of human designed to avoid predation from eagles. Fucking Darwin, right again! Parents feed your kids high fructose corn syrup and McDonalds. Get the fat to protect them from this menace. |

Anonymous Astrophysicist User ID: 1105198 United States 12/19/2012 02:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That's why you gotta keep a close eye on your baby. A coyote or wolf will do the same thing and countless children have been taken by predators over the years, especially in the early years of settling the west, most of them simply disappeared and no one ever saw what happened to them because the whites were not used to having predators targeting their babies. A human baby is just another food item to a predator, had that baby been a newborn he would have been dinner for the eagles chicks.. Native American women never left their babies unattended and usually carried them on back board and this is exactly why. |

FAKE Maybe it was hanging on one last claw and it´s flying in a small angle upwards because of the direction of eagle movement, but hey, if it´s a fake, then it is very well made! Anonymous Coward User ID: 27180401 Canada 12/19/2012 02:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | wont speculate on the authenticity I just know from experience that once in awhile when biking the backroads theres hawks picking at the road kill. And they fly up when I bike past then circle around and do a pass over me to make sure I'm not going to mess with their food. It's a little unsettleing. The Eagles I see here are at the least twice the size of the hawks. None ever came close, I only see them flying out over the lake or the river. But one place where I maintain a trail, across the river valley on the opposite bank way up in the highest tree, is where they have a nest. Since they move in there, when I'm going along the trail in a spot where it runs right along the river, almost in the water, and the path is all rocky with stones that make it hard to walk, theres often the smell of decaying carcasses and I see the picked bones of fawns and other forest creatures littering the area. I wouldn't want one to swoop at me. Not that I'm afraid of getting carried off. But the subject came up in conversation a couple times because of the size of them, and them have been recently re-introduced to the area, about the safety, especially if one targeted a little kid, because they are easily large enough to snatch one, or at leat pounce and rip one to shreds. I think they are too shy of humans and wouldnt try it as long as there was a bigger person around, and look for easier prey. They mostly fly away down the river just ahead, in and out of view as if trying to lead us away from the nesting/hunting area. |
