It's no wonder that veganism is becoming more and more popular. Souls are growing up and realizing that nothing good comes out of killing another living being for meat. And yes, before you play the plants-are-living-beings-too card, eating plants also accumulates karma, but to a much lesser extent. Eventually we evolve to a point when we do not need physical sustenance. Some enlightened humans can already live on air and sunlight. At some point we will be able to do the same. |

I've been presented with that challenge too, about vegetables being ripped screaming out of the ground and all that stuff. I replied that I have to eat something, or go on trial for my own murder.
