Is it God or is it E.T.? And what makes a God a God?
Would God be considered an E.T.Being? The answer is yes. God is not from this world, therefore yes he would be a E.T. In all the 5 major religions their holy books all claim their Gods came down from the heavens, meaning they were not from our world, making all of them E.T.'S.
What makes a God a God? Back in ancient times around the birth of Christ there really wasnt that much technology to speak of. And when the people of that time where aproached by other worldly beings they considered them Gods or angels. They knew no man on earth could do what they do. Therefore they were deemed supernatural beings or called Gods. They healed the blind, made the cripple walk again, fed the starving, raised the dead, gave us rules to live by and even had the people of the time write down every last detail of the events that took place, gave us certain technology so we might progress. I can see why these beings were worshiped like Gods, can't you? But you see the thing is they had no technology to compare it to, "the things they saw". Let me put it like this, If that were to happen today we would not be all that impressed because we have technology to compare it too. Everytime NASA comes back from a mission they decsend from the heavens, medical breakthroughs allow us to make the blind see and to make the cripple walk again, we can create life with out the human body or having sex, "test tube babies" and bring the dead back to life. When Mary became pregnant with baby Jesus she was a virgin, which at that time, there was no way to explain that, it was either thought to be impossible or supernatural, it had to be the work of a God. Today we call it artificial insemination. we can also make a carbin copy of a human being thanks to the discovery of DNA. We can send humans to different places in space, to the moon, build a spacestation to live in and send robots to Mars. We now know what our ancesters experienced was not supernatural, but rather technology, technology from out of this world, technology we now possess. So what makes a God a God?... I would have to say technology is what makes a God a God.

Well done. Lots of Gods and yes they are higher order ET, supernatural to us.

They created our containers with a built in self replicating program--high tech DNA.

Our souls are also created by very high level ET. The soul is placed in these human containers for a multitude of reasons.

There are billions of these planets in our galaxy alone. The container fits the environment.

Take a polar bear and stick him in the equator.
Need extra oxygen even at high mountains.
Stay at the bottom of a pool for 2 hours naturally.

Truth to this at least: >>>>The container fits the environment.<<<<<

Yeah except the whole God is an alien argument falls apart when you ask what created the aliens? If something created the aliens then what created the creator..and so on. The true God is infinite. He has no beginning or end. He is not created, only the creator. He can will matter into existence from nothing.

Re: Is it God or is it E.T.? And what makes a God a God?
God is the "excuse" we give to rationalize things we don't understand. E.g., we used to not understand why the sun rose each morning, so we figured "god" did it (ancient Mayans would sacrifice someone every day to make sure the sun rose). Then we learned about physics and astronomy and no longer associated God with the sun rising each day.

So God is nothing more than what we don't currently understand.

There are potentially living beings out there that are so far beyond our intelligence that we are nothing more than worms to them - in that sense they are gods to us because we can't comprehend the universe on their level, much like worms can't comprehend the universe on our level.

God is all relative.

If a Being is from our planet he would be considered a Terrestrial Being. Now on the other hand a Being from some other planet in some other solar system would be considered a Extraterrestrial Being. Now, all the Holy books "for the 5 main stream religions" That I mentioned in my post you replied to, all state that their Gods were not from this earth, as a matter of fact they all say basically The same thing , that they decsended from the heavens, which science would tell us that they would be Extraterrestrial Beings. Also anything not of this world is considered to be alien to us, science also teaches us that as well. And that would also include other worldly beings too. So the argument does not fall apart, it strengthens the argument in my opinion, because when you say God and Alien your talking about one and the same. Your argument has no grounds, simply because when you ask who created the Alien you would also be asking who created the God. As far as God being infinite having no beginning or end just suddenly appearing out of nowhere in the dark with all his knowledge to create the universe and every thing in it, Im sorry I just dont buy it. There are Trillions of solar systems with Trillions of planets located in what we call the Goldilocks Zone, Zones just right for supporting life and have been around billions of years before earth made. Now take into account all the technology we have came up with in the last hundred years and multiply that by a few billion years and that would be the kind of technology they would possess. Are we so concieted to feel so unique, to believe that we are the only Beings living in our vast Universe? And that All of this was created just to put life on one small planet and nowhere else. What we know about Evolution disproves this theory. The building blocks of life are scattered throughout the entire Universe thanks to the Big Bang. Life could have evolved on countless planets as it did ours just billions of years earlier.

well... it has to be all knowing... and for that to work it must have created the universe or have an understanding of all.

God cares for us. He has tried many times to perfect us with many failures for sure. Nothing is perfect. Maybe perfection is not the goal. Maybe the act of trying is enjoyment itself. rockon

The Bible says God made us from his own image which tells me he had reproduction organs as we do. We were made alike.
And if God didn't need a mother to carry him in her womb, and to give birth to him, to feed and nurture him, and to teach him about life, then why did Jesus?

God: beyond space, time, mater, creation... orgin of space, time, mater...

ET: being CREATED by God. limited to space, time and mater. Could not create anything from the nothing. Not ESSENTIAL BEING.
