Nothing like using religion, patriotism, and commodity fetishism as a means to get people to fuel the corporate war machine! HO HO HO! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28213805 X-mas Is different now compared to all other years .. EVERY Christmas is different! When my children were 8 and 5, I remarked to my husband that these were probably the best years of our lives. 25 years later, I believe that in many ways this may well be one of the best years of our lives. Not that it hasn't been a hard year. We've lost some family members--one of whom had a horrible lingering death (cancer) that really stressed both of us tremendously. Both daughters have had some wonderful and terrible things in their lives during the past few years (some this year). But you know what? We survived. I think we're closer than ever. Our children have made it through their bad year, we're looking forward to Christmas together in the next few days. Perhaps it's true that, that which does not kill you, makes you stronger. Be well, be strong, and go out and continue your life. Remember your Mom and others, with love and kindness. Start your new life at this time. Like the old saying, today is the first day of the rest of your life--make it a good one!! |

It is the hardest thing I have ever gone through. I am sorry you are missing her. The first Christmas without a mom is almost unbearable. The tears do come less often as time goes on... Until we celebrate Christmas again with our moms, here's to celebrating the Lord's birth here on Earth so long as He wants us here. |

This is the hardest period of my life ever, I can only imagine one thing harder and that is my own death.. Let's not think about that but just the happy moments and moments of X-mas, I bought so manny presents there are about 150 only for 6 persons, still it would be hard because none of them are for my mother, I just want to do what mom did, she gave so much... enough I have to stop, merry x-mas all ! |

Quoting: SATANIC CHRISTMAS 1330617 Do not celebrate it at all! Yea. Satan mocks and makes fun of God by saying He is the big fat man up North and his name is Santa. Also makes fun of the angelic realm by referring them to elves and reindeer. Its quite sick if you got the eyes to see it. |
