You must not have heard of the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs. It was a group of three Ukrainian friends that killed, by their own admission, for fun. They selected their victims at random and picked people that looked like they wouldn't fight back. The Ukrainian friends didn't do a killing spree, but in the span of several months killed 21 people as well as cats and dogs. Their tools? Metal rods, screwdrivers and hammers. You can find the video on Google, at least here in the states. I'd post the link but it contains pornographic ads on the side and the video also happens to be very disturbing. The video is nearly eight minutes long and features a man's face being mutilated with a hammer and ultimately killed. If you're interested, type in "3 Ukrainians hammer" and it should be the first result on a site called bestgore.
